| Kj's Jeep JK "Holy Grail"
So I figure buy another almost complete rig and cut out all the build So I'm building another new bright jeep. But this time it has a chassis and cage built by one of my favorite builders from a few years back ScaleReady. So many options were offered in my wanted add but this stood out, it was well built, with nice parts, most of which I would have done myself if I was piecing it together. So Much so that i didnt need the wheels and tires because i already had the same set waiting. I am super excited to get started on this and see where this Jeep will take me. I got it in today and tore right into it Mounting up the 100mm king shocks, made some link adjustments and lowered the body about 3/8 of an inch. Sits really nice now. Got some limiting straps on the way for it to limit some flew and keep it low. needs a couple more things and it will be ready to rock New Bright Jeep Rubicon Poison spyder fender flares Scaleready chassis, bumpers, sliders, shock hoops, and cage powder coated black VP links MIP shafts Currie axles with Over/Under HD gears, ARB lockers, 8* chubs/knucks and XVD's, With custom Diff cover CMS w/ VP 3 link kit TowerPro Servo winch VP trans housing with robinson racing steel gears GCM t-case King 100 mm shocks anodized black Kbess limiting straps 2.2 VP Method 101s with scale hardware .725 hubs 1.9 PitBull Rockbeast Xls Crawler Innovations Lil nova soft 4.75s Holmes hobbies BRXL Holmes hobbies crawlmaster 13t Castle 10amp BEC HiTec 7954 servo Futaba 4pls and r304se Vp light bar Heyok light controller Locked Up scale throughout Still needs Beef patties Scale accessories Ble and 3300kv stubby 7950 servo .jpg[/IMG] Last edited by King James; 02-22-2017 at 07:39 PM. |

Thanks guys. No link, it's an older 1 off chassis and it hurts to much to talk about price lol. But I'm happy with it.

Had to dremel off what was left of these body mount tabs. The king reservoirs were to close for my liking. Got them off and hit the raw metal with a quick little coat of paint. Reworked how the trans was mounted to allow for a little more motor room. Then started changing out all the hardware on the chassis to scale hardware. Motor and receiver will be in today. It could actually move under its own power today. now I just need to order some 4000 or 5000 3s batteries to sit under the front seat across the chassis Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk Last edited by King James; 02-15-2017 at 08:27 AM. |

Found myself a driver today I think he fits it well. My motor also came in so I went ahead and wired it up and got it running. Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk |

It's ready for its maiden voyage tomorrow. Inner fenders are mocked up and in. I'm excited to see how it does. A lil test and tune before I put some limiting straps to cut back flex and maybe some knuckle weights. Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk |

Well it's officially not a shelf queen and definitely not new now lol. Took it out with some friends to test it out. It crawled pretty well. Sidehill was one of the first things I notice needed attention. I came home and installed the limiting straps to help with this. Otherwise it needs a little weight up front, not much. I'll address that later. It could use a little more power. The 13t is quick but it was wet and muddy today and more wheel speed would have helped a few times. The body took a beating today. A couple hard falls and the body already needs shoe goo. I had a blast with it. Super happy with it and can't wait to see what some tuning can make it do. Sent from my HTC6535LVW using Tapatalk |
