Cab is finally back in one piece. All glued back together and WOW what a PITA. Working with flimsy lexan is no fun. Didn't come out as well as I wanted but not bad for the first time.

So I see all these Unimog builds with no beds. I figured someone had to have a bed laying around so I posted a want add for a Unimog bed and PIMPNROCKS came thru for the low cost of shipping. Thanks PIMP!! The bed is perfect width but its going to need a little trimming here and there. Stay tuned

Thanks For Looking

So I got to work on the bed and finished it up. Wasn't too difficult and it came out pretty nice.

Cut the holes for shock towers & shocks and dovetailed the bed.

Test Fit.

All painted up, glued together and attached to cab.

Found a wraith bumper among some extra parts and was able to make it work. Fits the truck fairly well. Not sure if it will stay, but it will do for now.

Ok. A little more done. Looks like this rig will make Axialfest

made up a battery/electronics tray and mounted it to the front cross brace.

And my wheel walls. Not really wheel wells so that's why their walls These are temp. because that is all the material I had. I will build the permanent ones once the sliders get built

Servo and steering linkage all done!

Decent turning radius. Shock to shock so im not gonna get much more unless I inboard the shocks.

Electronics tucked into a nice little box and ready to be installed.

Thanks For Looking

Then it was time to hit the trails at Axialfest!

The rig worked great! A few things need attention, but it impressed me for its first time out.

Looks like you could use a grille, turn signals, and side view mirrors. It just so happens that I know a guy who has those parts NIP.

Grille is on the list and the other parts sound good too. Please put me in touch with this GUY.

Well it has been a bit but Im finally getting around to getting some more work done on the FJ. The body was starting to take a beating so I got my rig over to Bent metal Customs to get the sliders built. Very nice work and the fit looks great.

Next up is a little more work on the sliders and some paint.

Looking Sharp man! I'm sad that mine is gone but I still have the original C3 version. Who knows, I might make another. Be cool to have a few together in a group pic at AF.

Thanks Guys! Yes I will be at AF this year with rig in tow. A pic of a few FJ's just hanging out on the trail. I like that idea

Onto the sliders. This should keep me sliding over the rocks!
