scx10 restoration project part2 !! Hello everyone , it’s me again jccrawler. After last time’s wheels upgrade , its time for the axles. I choose to replace the rear axles first , since it’s easier and I was kinda busy. Anyway, let’s start the restoration. So these are the Sentinel Axle housing https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...e4&oe=5959096B https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...63&oe=5998EBF4 I lay them down for a clearer shot https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...c4&oe=595BB8F7 The old rear axle, Man they are worn out. All scuffed up. https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...e0&oe=599A1598 https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...dd&oe=596277C2 I disassembled and found out some dirt got into the axle housing . https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...39&oe=596257C6 So I clean them out and re grease them. https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...bd&oe=595EA68A https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...5c&oe=5964E31F https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...69&oe=5995EA82 https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...93&oe=59599017 Now this how it came out!! https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...42&oe=5953C336 It looks so nice and feels so solid!! https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...bf&oe=595A3236 https://scontent.fhkg1-1.fna.fbcdn.n...7e&oe=595CBDEB This isn't the end , so stay tune So what do you guys think? Don't know if it is as good as VP axle housings. But it doesn't feel cheaply manufactured |
