JIA aka Jason,

Did you lock your front diff? I know Ryan doesn't lock his, but I am curious to know what others have done...

Aluminum plate and velcro. Pretty easy.

merc, My front diff is locked. I'll give up some steering for traction.

Bearings arrived for it. Luckily it's not too hard to rip apart.

Went out in the mud with it for the pics posted previously.

Steering is now STUCK.

I'd forgotten how finicky the steering is on these things.

JIA have you had any problems with the front dogbones slipping out of place while turning and locking your steering? i'am having that problem on mine running it hard with the novak ss 5800, it will hit a bump or a rock while turning and it will slip out just enough to lock the steering .

No problems with the dogbones.

IF you have a problem try stuffing a short piece of fuel tubing or an O-ring into each cup to keep the dogbone in place.

Hope to go to the scale crawl August 5th in Atlanta.

After driving it stock with a 55 turn I decided to slow her down a bit so I dropped in a GD-600.

Since the 55 turn wouldn't fit with the GD-600 in place I went with another alternative, a Revolver 2 from Holmes Hobbies.

Perfect fit.

just in time, i'am getting my gd 600 in today, but i'am going with a lathe, so i guess i have to hack the battery tray.
JIA have you tested the fj with gd and bl motor? have a vid to see how slow it goes?
