thank you, much appreciated.

i should have the tube stuff done pretty soon unless i cut off the shock towers and make some that are more like the o.g. timmy build. i dont have any pics of when i had it all screwed together but i'll be running the psc jk flares on the body with slabs of 1/32 delrin body armor on the front and rear quarters.

and i might paint it pink...

i noticed my tapatalk images are a tad bigger than they should be but not by much. i have no idea how to change em. sorry mods.

cobs showed up today. which makes me realize im far from done...

good thing i ordered the big 25mm round ones from 2 seperate places, cause one of them got it very wrong... but they were all super cheap and i might find a use for them small ones. ;)

you would THINK that a man my age wouldnt get excited and waste 5 of those cobs trying to hook them up to a 11.1v lipo before reading the ebay listing and seeing they are 3v... if they werent as cheap as they were id be alot more upset with myself.

in my defense those chinese ebay descriptions are tough as hell to make sense of sometimes.

headlight and lightbar cobs are 3s capable tho. so i'll probably re-order the correct voltage smaller rectangular cobs for the sides of the roofrack and at least have the wrong voltage ones to use for size.

yeah im not sold yet on them... theyd be bright as hell but they look fack as shit...

the one for the lightbar sure but im kinda thinking a simple axial light setup off a wraith with the buckets would work better for the headlights, and as a bonus id get the red tail lights.

You could put the really small ones in axial light buckets and they should be brighter than regular leds right?

ugh... ever spend an entire session in the shop and manage to get virtually nothing done?

managed to get a spare tire mount done up, but im kinda meh on it. it wasnt a fun process... i cut shit too short, solder wouldnt stick, and when it did the freaking rods moved and i had to redo it all again.

i wanted the option run without a spare and to be clean lookin, as well as to be able to fine tune the position of smaller tires. i guess its ok but it shouldnt have taken hours to get done.

i dunno if its available anymore but the old 'castrol' branded super clean was the shit for stripping old plastic bodies and stuff. i didnt realize how nasty it was the first time i used it and was curious why it was so slippery... ended up the slippery was the layers of skin melting off my hands.

The cobs are awesome! Those big ones would be perfect for my Sawback. Where did you get them?

china via ebay. theyre the 3w 12v round cobs. i think they are listed as 27mm but the actual led part is 25. i ordered them from 2 different places, one was supposed to be the real bright ones but those are the ones that got mixed up by the seller and i instead got the little baby ones.

the others are still bright as shit. i can post the auction iffya like.

gonna try to braze up my lightbar/roofrack tonight... kinda scratchin my head how to do it without potentially ****ing up my awesome rollbar since the roofrack needs to tie-in back there somewhere. if i dont do either im still at 55 scale points so its more just to do it and be one of the cool kids on night runs. if its anything like that stupid spare tire bracket im gonna sell the thing and get another slash4x4.

got the roofrack/lightbar roughed in. gonna brace it up a tad and make it look just a tad more like a rack, and figure out something that cleans up the front area a bit.
