Thinking about swapping the wheels up as well. Think black is in order.

Well small update. Took a chance on these GDS Racing rims off Ebay. Combination of i love the new modern look they have and the fact you cant beat the price. $71 shipped to the door from US seller. Aluminum is nice, finish is pretty good, and the hardware seems top notch. Mounted up as easy as any other beadlocks ive owned. I stretched the 1.9 Vaterra TSLs onto them and bolted them down.

Being a 66 myself i just might have to pick up one of these bodies for the HPI i have on order, not too happy with the Toyota body it comes with. |

Yea plan to do some light buckets in the future, as well as bench seat, dash, etc. just like to keep it simple. Got it out in the rocks with me at the lake ftw.

Hey looneybin I know it's been awhile since you did this build but do you remember what gauge aluminum you used for the floor pans ? I just picked up an extra Ascender and I've got the 66 cab that I was going to use on another build but after seeing this, I'm thinking it'll go better on the Ascender.
