Where'd you get the mount for the planetary gearbox?

Will you be removing a front upper link and adding a panhard bar to prevent bumpsteer?

The gearbox came with its bracket, from RCMart.

I’m still looking at a plan to get a panhard bar mounted. Will see. The bump steer isn’t really noticeable atm. I’m used to tamiya bashers, this rig has like no bump steer compared, lol.

Some more work done:

Tried the coil spring on the back. From the Tamiya Short CVA shocks. Soft spring. Perfect length for the job. The axle mount is just some brass plate bent for the location, the top mounts are old servo savers from the woman’s Blackfoot. Works cool and I think it looks the part.
Also relocated the battery. Its better with the weight behind the t-case.... The servo was also moved up where it should be.

Waiting on the toll cage to pitch with some accessories to see if the suspension will work with that.

Added some flares because of the wide axles.

They are hopelessly too big for the body, if its similar to the BG ones. With a bit of patience and bending it comes out fine. Sharp knife...

Ran it outside real quick. Proper clearance around the tires now.

Got some more things today.
I grabbed the Hobbypark 21t because it was dirt cheap. It has better low speed control than the Tamiya Sport Tuned. And a lot quieter. Will see how it does in time. Snorkel is nice and rubbery and the jack impressed me a lot.

This D90 has special trans. Trans output shafts will turn opposite of each other which will really help with torque twist

And, Done!

Last things came in and I’m done.
The rack needed tlc. Its as straight as proportions as good as I could get it without needing to weld.

Also replaced the front shocks with some blue coil overs. Carries the weight a lot better.

Also asked The Undertaker to take it for a spin...

I was asked to measure the track width on another forum. Thought I would just post the pics here too.

China tires. Plastic landy rims.

Yesterday, on the way out of the forest, I had the front wheels bind up during a decent. While fighting the obstacle I managed to tear the c-hub out of the screws on the axle. This ended up bending the pins on the dogbone too. I made a plan to get it functional for now.

Got some Banggood SCX10 CVD’s, spare HG c-hubs and a set of Xtra Speed SCX10 Alu c-hub and knuckle set on the way.

Will try and do the conversion. Updates will come as soon as I get the parts.

Other than the silly plastic hubs the axles looks good still. Gears are perfect still and feels solid after carrying the heavy rig around.

Heres some shots for reference:

I used the leaf spring mounts that came with the chassis to mount the lower links:

The distance between the points:

Measured the upper links like this:

This is the length from the centre of the ball to the end of the plastic y-link:

Lower link ball to ball centre:

Lower link length:

The bottom showing the positioning of everything:

Inside shot of how the links and t-case is mounted. T-case is mounted forward of the centre of the chassis, its a tight fit for the front upper link balls:

Shot from above:
