Default allanon1965's New Toyota Tundra Truggy Build

Well, I had been trying to sell a RTR scx10II to move to a new build but it wasnt selling so I worked out a deal with PIMPNROCKS for a tundra truggy to be built in exchange for my scx10II.

I am extremely pleased at the progress so far and PIMPNROCKS is an excellent builder in my opinion, I have owned a few other rigs he has built although none were custom built for me like this tundra.

Now, on to the pics, I must emphasize first off that this is just tacked together right now, none of the welds are finished in these pics. This is giving me a chance to look at it and make sure its what i want before its finish welded..but it is exactly what I envisioned

I am having him make a mount for my servo winch and setting it up for proline power stroke shocks..I will power it with a holmes hobbies 35t torque master and an AE-5 esc for now..later it will get a brushless upgrade with a castle MMP. Tires are another matter..I have a few options to choose from right now as they are what I have on the shelf..Falken Wildpeaks, Flat Iron XL's, KLR's, TSL's, or the kit BFG's from the scx10II... I will more than likely order up a set of the new Pitbull RockBeast XL's with CI lil nova dual stage foams when finances permit. I have them on my Baja Bug scx10II and they are phenomenal.

The axles will be scx10 original ones with beef tubes, axial cvd axles, axial high clearance knuckles on strc c-hubs so this should be a very capable class 2 rig!

Wow! That is phenomenal. Very clean lines, and it looks well balanced.

Congrats man, it's gonna be a heck of a rig.

I ordered set of incision grenade wheels and pitbull rock beast XL tires with the CI lil nova 4.75 dual stage foams. I went with comp cut inners and medium front outers with firm rear outers...looking forward to getting this going!

well Ryan has the welds complete and will be painting the chassis soon! I got the Incision Grenade wheels and another set of Rock Beast XL tires ready for the Tundra! I went with comp cut inner foams all the way around and medium outers in front and firm outers in the rear...all from Crawler Innovations.

I need to decide what axles to upgrade it to later, rock jock curries or the new F9 curries....although I am leaning towards the F9's

well I have decided on the F9 curries. The rear is not to expensive, but the front is uber expensive lol so I will buy it a bit at a time...although I do think I will color match the front chubs and knuckles to the body color. I am thinking about a Blue that closely matches my full size Ram..
