Question Internal spring shocks?

Anybody ever used these cheap ($9 for two shipped) eBay Chinese internal-spring shocks? I'm wondering whether they have oil in them and if anybody's been able to actually keep it in? Both the silver and the red ones look smooth and they come in various lengths. I'd probably want to swap out the rod end with a matching allow one though. Might even use one for the front steering rod after putting springs on both sides of the piston. Thoughts?

Your link takes you to an EBAY search with 416 results for "shocks" with two dozen different shocks on the first page alone. You're gonna have to be more specific.

Those just look like a red anodized Chinese copy of the RC4WD Ultimate Scale Shocks with plastic rods ends, which I know nothing about. From my understanding though, they aren't really designed for use with oil. Just a few drops to lube the o-rings and piston. Seems to me that it may be hard to get any real dampening from them. But, for a C1 or C2 rig, some bucking and body roll going down the trail may add to the scale feel of your build.

I may pick some up to see what can be done with them. ;)
