Really not that bad. Since I used aluminum it maybe only added a few ounces. But it's well worth the sacrifice to be able to hide all the electronics and battery under the bed. Not sure if I totally like the design yet. May try another route but going to continue with mock up and see if it grows on me. May look better after whole chassis is sprayed with bedliner.

Well, I've been working crazy hours and had 2 sick kids for the last couple weeks but was finally able to work on a few things today.
Finished up the grill and assembled my rear axle.

So far this has been a productive day, axles are done, links have been mocked up, suspension is being tuned.

Need to build a set of rear shock hoops to correct shock angle for ride height since I ditched the original frame extensions.

Been really busy at work again, so been jumping around with this build some more. Mainly been doing some test fitting and a little fab work. Ended up finding a awesome deal on a new set of RC4wd bumpers so I will sell mine that i built. This way all the powder coating matches, also I'm lazy and this saves me from having to build a rear bumper...

I did get the 4bt motor test fitted,

As well as started mounting up the old tires on the new wheels.

Been working on interior a little as well. Adding a few "chrome" details. Hopefully will be able to knock out some sliders and rear shock mounts today or tomorrow.

They are from RC4WD. $99.99 at RPP hobby and used my 10% discount code when I ordered a lot of stuff...

Trying to piece together the body braces, hood mount, radiator supports from BowhouseRC.. parts only needed a little sanding. Hopefully the CA glue in using gets these attached with no problems...

Well waiting on glue to dry, I want to finish up mounting the new wheels, but what do you do when the stock foams are too soft?? Easy way is order a set of CI foams but I didn't want to wait so I'll do what I've done in the past and it also is "free". Use some closed cell foam tape from work, black electrical tape and a little patience you can have yourself a dual rate foam..

All 4 done... it's kinda sad that I'll have 3 sets of tires and wheels just for this one rig...

Just seen this build for the first time. Amazing! Like how you're taking it over the top.

Radiator support glued in. I may have to trim it a bit to clear the chassis..
