Default Oldgregs MattZilla Yota

Well after a long wait finally received my chassis from MattZilla. It uses scx10 II skid plate and axles. This is the only custom frame ive ever dealt with, but it feels very high quality to me. I would recommend MattZilla rc to anyone.

Ive gotten some of it mocked up so far. Still waiting on a few parts. Been spending way to much time on the body. Its not perfect but it will do. This only my second hard body rc.

Anyways I know talk is boring here are some pics of it so far.....

Trans/skid flip

A little body work, still need some practice, but it will do just fine

Some mock up pics before paint. Still deciding on color. Im thinking grey or silver. Maybe a black hood just because. Im open to suggestions

Im thinking maybe a little shorter shocks. Right now im running factory scx10 II length. I think a lower stance might look a little better.

Stole some leds out of some rc4wd squadron lights that I had bought and never used and stuck them into the headlight housings. Should look pretty cool when lit up.

I like where this is going. How long of wait did you have for the Mattzilla chassis?

Thanks. I ordered back in april. Just recieved it last week. He apparently is very busy ths year. But I was in no hurry. He might be caught up by now though. So far it was definitely worth the wait.

Repurposed the scx10 II sliders. Slightly modified of course. They arent real pretty anymore, but they will do the job of holding electronics

More modified bowhouse parts. Seems to be a common occurrence in the build

Electronics installed

Looks like I got good alignment on track bar and drag link. Should work just fine. Had to make both just a little longer.

Little flex test and the drink that made it all possible. Lol

Grille is almost done just waiting on a ship to cross the pond to bring my toyota emblem for it. Decided to paint one grille square red for some reason....not sure why. Just wanted to be different I guess. Its actually kinda growing on me.

Sweet paint job! I really like the gunmetal gray (I think that’s what you used?) + flat black hood. I was thinking of using that same gray for mine, but I’ve seen it in a few places now, so might need to find a way to be different, lol! Flat black for the whole body might be the path for me ...

New longer rod ends for track bar and drag link. Looks much better without the exposed threads on the links
