I'm taking it out in the morning for its first true run.

I did get rid of the body roll, I flipped the rear axle 180 like on the box, and it drives completely different.

That wasn't an option for my kit, but I'm glad you're getting it dialed in.

So far I am liking it, nice controls at slow speeds and will crawl over almost anything, only thing is diffs seemed to hit on more stuff.

The SG4C comes with pretty scale looking CNC axles. About the same as K44's. I haven't noticed an issue with them.

Haven't run it outside yet. Noticed the body roll as well when I ran it in the house.

Those axles are nice looking. Just got a few spares and parts today at the hobby shop, this thing is turning expensive quick lol, but its a nice rig, and different from a lot of other stuff out there.

That's what attracted me to this truck, something different. I knew it wouldn't be an epic high performance crawling machine but it is pretty cool looking. With some more testing and tuning I think I can up it's abilities a little more.

Honestly I bet with some work this will be a super capable crawler given it's hardbody and such.

I'm quite pleased so far, but mines changed a lot too

The suspension is a little too mushy in my opinion, considering all the weight above the axles. The right shocks and springs should help a lot. The Pro-line scale shocks are stiffer but still seem too soft. It's a top heavy rig.

I bought some KNK 8mm brass hexes to try also. I little more weight down low and a slightly wider track. I'll try them next weekend.

The stock shocks are incredibly smooth and the stock spring rates I found to be adequate to slightly to stiff. I tried to go down to a mini-t spring, but the shocks bodies the slightest bit too big to allow a smooth compression of the spring. Maybe I'll machine those down one day, but my custom transfer case is the next big project.

I had a bad crash with mine this past weekend and broke some stuff and parts are not available yet. I damaged the rear bed so I am going to try to get the rc4wd one to work.

Have you talked to Hobbytown about getting replacement parts? Curious if they can order any or all of the Cross RC parts.

They are getting everything for replacements, hopups, etc but it will take a while to cross the ocean. Was told a few weeks.

Upgrade time!!

New Bed

I decided to go with cross rc metal axles, which I should have done from the start. ANyway these axles are nice and well built, day and night vs the plastic. Only thing I did was install cvds from old axles. They add a lot more weight lower in the truck.

Wow that demon looks great! I have other rc's but no crawler yet so i want to get one of these demons. The detail on it looks awesome. So with the kit i would still need to get an ESC, Transmitter, Receiver, Battery and charger. What did you guys use or what would you recommend for this demon.

For light crawling and trailing you don't need anything too high end. I run small 2200 3S lipos, Holmes Hobbies BLE speed control, Holmes 35 turn motor and a Hitec 7950 steering servo. I use a Spektrum 3 channel radio. You'll need the third channel to run the winch, unless you get a wireless winch controller.

Hobbywing 1080 is best ESC for money in my mind. Steering servo is TURNIGY TGY-5521MDHV. 330ish in/oz at 7.4 volts at an unbearable price. So far works as well as my hitec with zero issues. Batteries, because of my location of battery box, I'm stuck with 850 3S.
