Thanks! I was nervous spraying the hard body with this color since I've only used it on lexan in the past.

Closer to done. The hood and bumper need another coat of paint and the rocker trim isn't on yet.

Looking at getting one myself(the flagship model) as well and am really liking the way yours is turning out, hope mine can look as good. Anyway i have a couple questions if you don't mind. Like what size motor comes with it as I will most likely upgrade that and how big is the battery box? I know its small but have no clue what size to order, cant seem to find that info anywhere.
thank you
oh and what size light bar are you using

Thank you!

The kit comes with a standard 540 35 turn closed endbell motor. I'm using Venom Fly 2200 mAh 30C 3S lipos part# 25077. They're just thin enough to fit. The lightbar is a Pro-line low profile 4 inch unit.

Thanks! I used Testors spray lacquer Icy Blue Metallic. My buddy calls it "Traildawg Blue" since it's one of my favorites and have used it on a couple other rigs.

Have you run it yet with that motor? If so how does it run? Would you recommend a different turn or size?

I've only ran it indoors so far, so it's hard to say. 35T's are a great balance of torque and speed in most rigs. I will say this truck is very quiet though and feels smooth.

The weather here in Wisconsin is pretty sloppy at the moment, but I'm hoping to get her outdoors and take some nicer pics.

The stock shocks seem well built and smooth, but I went with these instead. The ride height seemed a bit too tall and tippy. The Pro-lines are a little shorter and stiffer which should help with body roll. I removed the shorter springs from the rears, allowing me to move the tops outboard some. More testing to come.

It's not too fast at all. About the pace of a very brisk walk. The motor is ok but a nice aftermarket quality one will have more torque.

The torque twist on the stock setup was not acceptable to me, since most of my trucks are modded closer to comp style link geometry and steering.

In goes the Hammer T-case. I had to drop the skid to clear the taller unit without chopping into the cab floor. Not ideal, but I did gain a little better link geometry along with the front overdrive.

Now for some real world testing.

How are you liking the proline shocks?

I've always been a fan of those shocks. Nicely made, smooth and solid. I chose these because they're shorter and stiffer, which helped tame the body roll somewhat.

I drive it around the yard a little bit but other then that I still need to get some time on it, I did notice the roll when you give it gas.

A lot of the body roll is because of the rear shock design from factory. It does a poor job of controlling rear axle movement.

Agreed. I'm thinking about trying some 70mm shocks with stiffer springs. I'd like the rear shocks mounted outboard on the chassis without raising the ride height.

On a side note, the overdrive T-case made a huge difference in how it crawls. Glad I did the mod.
