Definitely a different driving style for this rig. But I see it completely different. It's a huge lightweight compared to my scx10, but yet climbs over things so much better. But I need to get it over a course to see for sure I'm really digging it and I gotta remember to get a spares order together lol Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk | |

Since my work bench has turned into a pinewood derby speed shop, i haven't had much time to play with this rig :( and that makes me sad However, I ordered some RC4WD chassis braces from a TF2 marlin edition, and while they file the channel, the 3Racing chassis is almost a 1/4 inch narrower :( dammit, there went using a front brace that has like a million D90 front bumpers made for it So by happen stance, I grabbed a scx10 brace and it was a perfect fit width-wise. Screw holes are slightly off, nothing patience and a self-tapping screw can fix (yeah) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

So aside feom orswring TF2 parta that won't work (ha!), I ordered some new electronics for the rig Out goes the HW1060, and a HW1080 will go in its place. This one, I'll up the internal BEC, so it's outputting the 6ish volts. More than enough for the PowerHD 23kg servo that'll handle the steering duties Since I had some time tonight, I fought some more with mounting the interior of the D90, well fitting it is more appropriate. Had to cut out a huge chunk of the transmission tunnel from the firewall.to the seats. Then had to remove a check of the floorboards to fit the 3Racing gear housing. Some day this will get done lol. Maybe in the meantime I can find a cheapo body to throw on it because I wanna see this rig run Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

Hi! I have just finished the build up to the roller stage. You can find the pics on local forum (right click and select translate foy your language ) : 3racing EX Real - Portal Modelarji.com I found the kit to be nice compared to what I have built before (TH kit, HSP Pangolin, MBX7T Eco) with some bads and a lot of goods. Drivetrain really fantastic (except plastic spline for dog drive and driveshafts), very little play, front axle also really nice, good steering angle. The worse was foams in the tire - but I have modified them in this way: Made a template with 30 cuts, half way through: then I removed some foam on alternating sides: I hope to get more grip with this toothed design... |

So did a little something to my truck tonight. After ordering (and failing) with a bunch of RC4WD Marlin bumper braces, I took a chance and ordered an Xtra Speed D90 front bumper (one of the literal dozen they make lol) After a big sigh of relief, I found out that the 2 bolt/screws/shackle mounts align perfectly with all those extra holes in the 3Racing front brace - phew and yeah!!! So now just need to space it out correctly so that it sits far enough away from the grill on the truck and the bolts tighten down enough So this makes me happy and now I just need to figure out how to get the magnetic body mounts in place Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

Hi, I finished mechanical part of the build a couple of weeks ago. I like the rig a lot. But nothing in life is perfect... After testing the climb angle (45° reached): the rig slided of and smacked on the floor - on the shock tower... Upgrade #1: And I did not like the way shifting servo is mounted: A small piece of alu angle profile, longer shaft, spacer tube and: And after some Proxxoning (Dremeling :-) ) I could fit the interior much better: So that is it for the moment BTW - Has anyone seen the webmaster somewhere? Awesome, rcradio. I had to dremel off so much more floor off on mine. And had to pull my shifting servo off mine. Looks good Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

So it's been a while since I updated anything here. I've since removed the radio box (too tall for the inner body), and I made a new battery/speedo tray (very crude, but does the job) Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

The biggest stopping/frustrating point was getting the D90 (with interior) to mount up. It required a ton of dremeling, and will require a while lot of styrene (first attempt EVER) to rebuild the floorboards in the from and rear. But I finally feel good and ready to move on to paint and detailing Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk |

Still playing with the toy.... Managed to get a nice fit of interior without much holes in it... I needed to make new posts for rear shock to have a better fit (lower): Also final layout of electronics and cables was reached. Overall - quite nice fit of the body with interior: Now I am thinking of a noice invisible body mount to join body and chasis. I hate those "chimneys"... |

The front axle needs a panhard and a upper link removed if you dont want bump steer. Nice rig though. I might try and score a set of rails and enough parts for the trans and t case. Ive had a few 3 racing drift cars. Ive never had an issue with the plastics. Sent from my LGMP260 using Tapatalk |

I have been working on the front bumper. Not the one from it or the body kit looks fine to me. Flimsy at best, attachment points not thought out well... So I started to build my own, out of a solid block of 7075 that I had laying in my shop: Pre fitted and pressed in with toolmakers clamps, to transfer the holes from the body: Holes drilled and tapped with M3: Some more material removed (the step is 5mm high - so there was quite some chips and 7075 is quite tough material :-) Had lots of fun... Fitted to the body: Holds quite well. All the holes a re close to some corner - so I hope it will not crack Now I will make a front attachment and shape it to some kind of off-road style front bumper. Added wight of billet block should be beneficial I guess. |
