Default Akumu - Ex Real build

Hi Guys, i traded my SCX10 v1 for a class 1 rig... its a 3Racing Ex-Real which i moded to fit the 3 door JK body it came with.

Used the following parts for my build...

Hobbywing 1080 ESC
35T brushed motor
Sanwa waterproof servo and reciever
Boomracing Hustlers 1.9 tires 4.19 class 1 spec
Bankwish 1.9 wheels (china vanquish knockoffs)
Jeep JK 3 door hardbody (2nd hand)
Tamiya TRF dampers for the rear
Boomracing alloy bumpers

DIY CF electronics tray on the rear, mounted on stock mounts for the battery plate. Took off the rear stock towers and replaced it with a DIY aluminum shock towers made from an old Tamiya TXT-1 plate that i had cut long ago.

btw, my friend who i traded with remove the 2 speed parts. i never really care about those so it will remain as is.

this is how the chassis looks now...

this was the sanding prep work done on the body. it's actaully finished but did not have time to take proper photos of it, also need to install the light kit for it. I will be using an old tamiya light control for it...

Once done, i will post more photos.

thanks for viewing!

I actually traded this rig back for my scx10 v1 but sold that a month after and got me a used bomber. Decided I really needed a class 1 rig for our local comp so i spoke with my friend if he would allow me to buy this back.

anyways, after serveral months the ex-real is back in my stable and I have made some body mounting modifications to make it sturdier, at the same time I have made a build path to make the rubicon more scale looking and sorrca legal.

with a new 80mm dampers and bumper installed this is how she looks now...

i plan on making a metal rollcage for her and extend the bumpers width to become sorrca legal. once i sort those things out, the 2nd stage will be to open up the hood and put an engine on it.

thanks for vieiwing!

That's a very good looking truck. Chassis looks pretty nice too - don't see too many of them. Looks like a solid rig.
