Thanks! It helps to have a badass chassis to work with! As soon as I found out Rusty was getting this, I had to confiscate it from him. I’ve been waiting for my chance to put my spin on it. I’ll be doing some detail work to his Ford next so be on the lookout. Although I don’t know if he told you already but that build we did won a best in show at our last local event! Keep up the great work!

The Ford is a sweet build. I was at the event that won best of show. Pimpin Chassis are the best.

Yeah he and I went back and forth about the axle housings. I was totally against it being I prefer to build drivers but in the end I love how they turned out. I told him I’m not touching it again until I finish this one but I am itching to start the fab work on it.

Love the red chassis! What color are you going with? I want to check this rig out at the next event too.

I'm going with black cherry with a silver backing. I'm hoping it will be dark enough so it doesn't blend with the cage.

Thank you. I went in to have gun metal gray done and seen this color and I instantly loved it.
Your chassis is awesome and well built.

Somehow I completely missed the beginning of this thread.................. D'Oh!

Awesome build, I'd like to swear in excitement but I'll try to chill... really, REALLY nice!

Damn, lovin' the bumper up front and the cage in the back, tubework around the fenders almost (but NOT quite) escaped my notice...

So, then I started scrolling UP - ah, crap... too much goin' on here for me to detail out how extreme I feel towards your EXCELLENT build!

I'm someone that usually doesn't think I'd want to buy other people's builds - but if I won the lotto I'd be beggin' you and Pimpin' Crawlers for a commissioned build at double what you'd accept.

(still bitin' my tongue at the badass-ery!)

Thanks bud! I had an awesome platform to build upon. This build became sort of a challenge to see how far I could push my creativity and skills. I’d love to one day have the resources (and equipment) at home to really do some damage. Until then, it’s a lot of tedious hours of hand working material.

Appreciate it! The woodwork was a big fun factor in this build. Tough, but definitely fun.

I'm thinking about dropping some coin and getting myself this one also. Loving all the wood details!

It looks like you're running VP F9 axles. Is it possible to run Axial over/under diff gears in those? I hate driving rigs without front overdrive.

Thanks! I’m not sure about the gears. I’ve always run standard ratio gears in all my rigs. I’d assume you can though.

if not you could always run one of the dlux trannies that does it internally and run the same gears front to rear in the axles.

Not a whole lot of new to report. Cut out a panel for the glove box, just waiting for some small pieces still.

Also started testing the lighting and got the rear brake lights in order:

Since I’m at a standstill, I got bored and powered it up for a quick little front yard spin and photo opp:

I think she’s gonna do just fine once we get her on the rocks. Suspension is dialed and the center of gravity seems to be just about where it needs to be.

Awesome! Does the fuel cell come standard with the chassis?

Thanks! I do believe it did but you can contact PIMPNROCKS on here directly. He’s the chassis builder. I’m just the guy adding my touches to it.
