| Terrible 1 & A Pimpin Crawlers Power Wagon
So a good buddy of mine picked up this sick chassis from Pimpin Crawlers using the new Power Wagon body. I’ve been putting together most of his builds recently while tinkering with some custom fab work in the process. This one caught my eye so I stole it from him to put my touch on it. The build is pretty straight forward with all the bells and whistles for bolt on parts. However, this thread isn’t about those things. My attention is in the details. What we started with: And then some nice bits to add: Fast forward and here she is put together: But this is just the beginning for me... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

So this is the first thing I wanted to add: So made some templates: And cut my sheet metal: Next was some mock up: A little tweaking and fitting and here’s where I ended: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Here’s where things got fun: And mock up finished: The wood got me thinking since I love the bed but not so much the fenders. So now I’m working on something a little different: And now I ran out of material so, that’s as far as I’ve gotten. To be continued... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Alright, picked up more material so we continue. Finished the sheet metal work for the side panels: Now onto the stain. I’m partial to dark woods and used this red mahogany on another project previously: Not too shabby I think: I finished it off with a thin layer or lacquer to help seal the wood. Then started laying it down: I’m still debating whether I want to make a couple of metal tie downs to lay across the bed to dress it up a little. Here are the sides: Next is install... Appreciate guys! The process of making all this happen has taken longer than I’d like. I’m having to fabricate everything by hand. But I’m very happy with how things are going so far. I was able to start on the interior late yesterday and got a few pieces in the works. First was shaping the dash, starting with a piece of 1x4: I still need to locate some gauges for it. The Gearhead kit I picked up is nice but I’m not happy with how small they are. I’m also still mapping out what other things I want to carve into it. Glovebox, air vents, etc. I also started on shaping the bench seat. I’ve been holding onto these condensed foam pieces forever. I finally have something I can use them for: That’s as far as I got. I’ll have to pick up again later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well I had a little more time to work last night and made some progress on the dash: I also worked more on the steering wheel but I’m not sure I’m happy with it. Working on such a small piece of wood is a pain in the a**! I still have my back up plastic wheel just in case: Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ok for comparison: I also “rolled the windows down” too: So here’s how she sits so far. I need to get her outside in the sun and get some better pics. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Thanks! Well, I’ve hit a bit of a standstill. Waiting for a few small detailed parts to finish up what I want to do to the dash. So I thought I’d start mocking up my lighting. I replaced the stock light buckets for a more modern look and decided I’d run brake lights on this rig. This is where I’m at: And the rear: I’m hoping to finish up my dash this weekend and hopefully get the lighting wired and completed. Other than that, I think she might be ready for good trail run!
