Roll cage #2. Still brass tube. 140g with paint. Should be a lot stronger now and seems like its not affecting performance for now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Nice work dude did you braze it!! I found some templates from Harley designs have printed them out an I'm in process of trying to clear some space in garage so can get to my welder! I did a little brazing/solder work on some aluminium an was quite impressed when I tested it with large hammer an I just used a cheapish blow torch!! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk |

It was put together with soft solder a proper iron and patience. 5mm and 4mm brass tube. I built the other one to see how it will last and banged it up hard last weekend, only cracking the mountings on the bottom of the frame. I felt really bad doing it. Its more for aesthetics as I don’t like my rig falling and rolling all over the place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It looks pretty cool though dude!! I have some 4mm steel tube to do mine!! Just need to get to my welding bench!! Was quite lucky at last job when boss decided it was time to shut shop permanently!! He gave me all the welding gear we used to take out on site!! So have options for Tig or mig! I just tried the gas solder option as was something I had never tried! I'm not the best RC driver an always seem to pick wrong line so think I will weld cage!! Did your cage take much abuse before it cracked?? Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk |

It had a 2 soldered tabs on the roll bar that took a lot of strain. It rolled hard and far a couple of times before it cracked. Just the tabs cracked, not one other joints. I now have no solder joints on the mountings. Its straight onto the tube. The solder is amazingly strong though. I wish I could have access to a tig, lol. Only have a basic mig welder at the warehouse. I did use 0.71mm solder wire. Less time to get it flowing properly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

It's a dual purpose machine so can use it for stick welding (arc) my new job we have just aquired a fronius machine to weld aluminium bit it works like a MIG welder it's awesome!! Let the new lad try an with half hour he was laying some decent beads down!! An it can be used to join different metals so can join aluminium to steel!! I will give the gas another go on some tube to see how it holds up can always use Tig as back up!! Sent from my ONEPLUS A6003 using Tapatalk |

Gas welds will be plenty strong on mild steel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Its a lot of fun. Its surprisingly capable with all the brass on the back too. And it gets a lot of attention out on the trails. Nobody can resist staring at it and eventually asking for a proper look. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Some pics of how the Mog is at now. Axles were swopped as I needed some for the Samil build. Seems ok around the house. 80mm shocks all round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

That's a sweet looking little 'Mog you've built yourself there. Love the "jungle jim" out back too! Nice work, especially for keeping it budget oriented.
