Default RC4WD 1985 Toyota 4Runner by Leosworkshop

Hi

New year, new body!

RC4WD Toyota 4Runner 1985

First, the dimensions ....... taking the picture below into consideration, the scale is about 1: 9

The wheelbase is about 290mm and the width is 196mm.

Other characteristics of the body:

Transparent windscreens, sliding luminaires, full interior, opening doors and hood, removable luggage compartment, rear-view mirrors and windscreen wipers.

The body can be pre-ordered here:

https://store.rc4wd.com/RC4WD-1985-T...et_p_7220.html

As a first step, I removed the remnants of the cast line from each body element.

Marlin compatible... ;)

I immediately changed the factory console because it seemed to me so high..

Nice 4Runner! I built an original Hilux for a friend back in 1985, and I painted it almost that exact same color. Excellent work on the details too.

I would like to find a set of rims like those in the 1:1 pic.

Leo- Both these rigs are absolutely gorgeous and all the scale detail work is truly top-notch.

Question... How are you applying your metal badges? I'm getting ready to do some badging on a Hilux and I'm not sure the best route to go. I'm thinking spray adhesive applied to the backs of the badges then press into place. Just wondering how you do yours and if you use spray adhesive, what particular brand do you like?

Thanks so much.
