Default going brushless

thinking about switching to a brushless system. using a hobbywing 1080 and the Reedy 16t 5 slot mtor right now and I am very happy with the performance. I am just thinking about if I am missing anything by running brushed. thinking the Mamba X when I can find one but unsure on motor choice. prob want Holmes hobbies or Castle slate motor but what kv rating. my Vs410 is 7 pounds, any advice is great, thanks

Default going brushless

My VS4 OG runs the new VFD transmission with full OD.,My Holmes 2700 PullerPro is sweet on 3s. The biggest difference you will feel is incredible power. It’s totally a beast on brushless, much more docile with my 13t CrawlmasterPro/1080.

I did throw the Holmes curve /setup in it as it works well on my other rigs.
My trucks are a couple pounds heavier, at just under 9#

When comparing Holmes motors, CrawlmasterPro, PullerPro, Revolver,

My descriptions are : Buttery, Violent, Beast Mode.

As the power goes up, so does the noise.

My SCX10II, 3gear VP trans, with dig from the VS4 runs a 2200 revolver.
Unrestrained Violence on demand, My most capable truck, and loudest.

Hang up and Drive

Default Re: going brushless

I use a Mamba X with a 3500 Puller Pro in my Ultra. I run brushless in three of the four rigs I have, with an old 2.2 Wraith with a 1080 and Holmes Crawlmaster Expert (I think!). The smoothness is definitely different, especially on startup.
