Cool! Make a build thread. I need to add a roll cage to mine.

This bug turned out sharp!, went back and caught up on all that I missed, really dig the way the motor turned out. Excellent build! |

Bit more done today. Started painting the driver and the steering wheel. Also, added the muffler and taillights. |

Added the steering wheel and stick shift. Wheel needs a bit more tilt. I like the look but will have to attach the wheel to the driver when he's done or attach the whole interior to the body. |

Just a couple of little things to finish up and this is a wrap. Quite happy with how it drives and really liking the looks. Took it out to our local Blackfoot RC Crawling park for a spin this afternoon. |

Sweet!, All I know is, if it was a 1:1, I'd make a reasonable offer to purchase it!

You know Mike, it’d be fun to drive as a 1:1. Thanks. You’d need a bigger helmet though.

Got some seatbelts for those Corbeau bucket seats. Sanded down the belts molded into Wild Willy and then painted them green to match his suit. The five point harness covers then up anyways. I like the look. |

Man it might be a weird thing to fixate on but you did an awesome job on the eyes. Eyes are hard to get right let along make look good. Great work on the interior. Hard bodies dont take kindly to sharp objects for sure. I highly recommend weathering even if its just a small amount, it doesnt have to be overdone. This way scratches just add to the character and you can just touch up spots by adding some rust or dabbing on paint. |

Thanks! I'm quite happy with those eyes. Not bad for a first crack at it. I kinda followed a tutorial on painting a Wild Willy head on Tamiya Club. They turned out way better than I was expecting. Looked even better after the paint dried. When it was wet I thought I'd stuffed it up. I know what you mean about hard bodies. My other bug has a fibreglass body and I've been adding rust paint to every scratch and scrape on it for years. I like the way it's looking these days.
