Default Can you shorten the TRX-4 wheelbase below 312mm?

Hello everyone!

I searched but did not find any other thread about this.

I'm thinking about getting myself a TRX-4 (kit version). Only thing is that the body i want to use has a 295mm wheelbase (the Volvo-body I use on my kyx Volvo TP21 "Sugga" ).
Do anybody have an idea on if it's possible to shorten the TRX-4's wheelbase and if so, what would be the best way of doing so?

One idea that popped up in my mind was that I maybe could use this linkage set from axial, even though it's rather expensive. Could this work..? http://www.axialracing.com/products/AX30549
Thankful for any advice what so ever

Here's a thread from the Trx-4 section talking about this. Shorting the wheelbase? Other then that I haven't seen allot of people going shorter then 12" WB. Making your own custom links might be your best bet. There's a few ways of going about doing that. Harley Designs on YouTube has a good video on making your own links. Good luck! Look forward to seeing where you go with it

Just swapping the rod ends for Revo ends should shorten it quite a bit.

That Axial link kit sucks. It's expensive and it includes the crappy Axial rod ends. You could probably get somebody to make you a custom set from stainless steel for about the same price as that Axial set.

Or just make your own links, 8-32 stainless all thread, 1/4 OD stainless sleeve .035 wall thickness, Revo rod ends. Make pretty much any wheelbase you want.

Great feedback guys, thanks!
As Jato and Kincer said, I'm getting more into the idea of making links. Only problem is that I have no good tools nor space to make them but I might have a friend or two to help me out

Agree heatedly with Jato here. Those Axial rod ends truly garbage

If you have a dremel like tool you can make your own links..... really that easy.

Ive never understood why people make links that way honestly. Way easier and much stronger just buying 3/16 or 1/4 rod and turning some threads long enough for Traxxas Jato ends. But that way does work so cant knock it too much
