| Vaterra suburban issue
Alright ascender gurus. Im having a problem with my sons vaterra suburban. Everything is all stock and runs great. Im running a 2s 5200mah battery in it and it runs good until the battery gets to about 7v or lower. After it gets that low after we fire it up it and run it full speed it will go for a few seconds normal speed then it will stop. Steering is still responsive but no throttle til tou release the trigger and go again. After that it will only go about 3/4 speed. I swapped his motor and esc out for the one that came in vaterra k10 which never had this issue and still the same result. Ive also installed a castle bec no change. Im starting to think its the transmitter or reciever. Thought id throw this on here to see if anyone else has had this problem. Any help is appreciated.

That's definitely low voltage cutoff. Pull trigger, voltage sags, lvc is triggered. Voltage stabilizes, pull trigger, sags again, lvc triggered again. I remember first time I used lipos, had the same reaction as you, feels fugged up. |

Pick up a small checker/ balancer. You can check your cells easily in the rig using the balance port. https://www.google.com/shopping/prod...:1,prmr:1,cs:1 Hang up and Drive |

| Re: Vaterra suburban issue Don't keep them charged. Only charge them when you plan on using them. Lipo's don't like to be charged or low. They are stable around 3.8v/cell. Charge them, use them, then use the storage charge function, on your charger.
