Default ECX Barrage steering upgrade

Ok, I'm understanding that the ECX Barrage and the FTX Outback are very similar and a lot of parts are interchangeable, does the aluminum steering blocks for the FTX Outback (part # FTX8231) work on the stock axle C's on the ECX Barrage?

They are the same rig just different name and sold in different areas.

I cover it in the link below along with a couple mods that are possible.

In addition to the question from the OP,
How best to eliminate those stupid hex wideners on a gen 1?

In order

Xr- mod
Swap to gen2
Swap to 1/10 axles

Maybe get gen2 shafts but not sure what other problems might a raise with doing so.
