Default 1969 Chev Prerunner

I realise I like to go fast so I'm building another semi go fast rig.

But I still want it to be a crawler when required so eschewing the usual independent front suspension for a solid axle.

Designing the whole thing in Tinkercad. With the body, cage, skid, interior and axles all 3d printed. The body was designed by Alexby with a remix for the wider pumped guards.

Axles will be ar44 based with SSD Pro axle centres. The front will be a offset pumpkin.

Building it around 4.19 tyres. Probably BFG KM3 Predators.

SSD Champion wheels will be used, with a custom bronze coating.

I have the capabilities to braze cages, but the learning from Brocky, my first brazed tube chassis, that the extra weight is such a detriment to crawling

Will be hoping to run it in C2.

May have two rear suspension setups. Long travel with trailing arms and a crawler setup with 4 link. Should be easy as swapping the skid.

Tempted to go real old-school and use a dual RC4WD Ohlins shock setup.

But details like that will come as they do.

Subbed. Here’s a little inspiration, too.

Bit more progress on the designs. I'm diy building a new 3d printer so can't actually start printing anything til that's done.

I also decided to try my hand at designing a transmission.

25% overdrive, both axles spin the same direction.
Chevron cuts gears. Going to see how they go strength wise printed.
