Default Wannabe Vs4-10

Some of you might have seen my projects in Scale Builders Guild forum or in instagram but I thought that maybe I should share newest one here also.

This is my SCX10 with plenty of upgrades (supersafty, boom racing, Holmes, Mamba X etc.):

And this is my son's SCX10.2 raw builders kit (with Rock Jocks, better shock etc.):

VS4-10 Pro would be nice but taxes, freights etc. makes it quite expensive to buy here in Finland. Well Vanquish also published VS4-10 chassis kit and I decided to buy it and make some kind of "wannabe VS4-10".

First thing was to build garage so I can take better pics:

And chassis… Quality is nice, parts fits together well, manual is simple. I like this one a lot!

Hopefully pics are not too big (or too small)… I'm not sure how Imgur's pics works here.

Chassis is ready, it took only 1/2 hour. Very simple structure.

And garage is also ready. I will add some small details but decided to keep it simple and easy to move because we have quite small apartment.

Sweet trucks! I dig the weathered, rusted look. Do you have a link to your build thread on scale Builders Guild? I would like to check it out.

I decided to use best parts I have in this build. So I took Supershafty's transmission, Holmes Hobbies Puller Pro, Mamba X and Savöx SB-2290SG from my own SCX10 (will down grade that one):

Great looking rigs!

I have seen your builds on SBG and they look great! Nice attention to scale detail. Weathering looks great!

I have subscribed and looking forward to seeing how you build up the VP Chassis Kit.

I agree, both the Chevy truck and the Blazer look fantastic!

Incredibly realistic work...

I am making a mixture build myself - the Enduro I just picked up is first getting SSD Pro44 SCX10 II axles, then later on the Vanquish VS410 chassis.

Going to stick with the SSD overdrive transmission.

My paint will NEVER be as well done as these!

Thank you!! Weathering is quite easy and it looks even better with scratches (= I'm not good enough to drive with perfect paint )

Thanks! Your receipt for scale truck sounds very good! Weathering is quite easy, just use few different color and paint for example with salt (first layer, salt+water, second layer => scrub salt off). Just test for example with scrap body. If you want to paint lexan body then paint out side with lexan paint and let it dry. After that you can use other paints also. This way you can be sure that paint will not drop off (not-lexan paint won't stay in lexan!!).

Vanquish Method wheels and Pro Line Mud Terrain tires:

And body… This is Killerbody's LC70 and I decided to bobbed it:

Thank you sir!! You don't need to wait anymore. Body surely looks very nice with this chassis and width is perfect. Doors are almost even with sliders. But still it might be that we will change Axial Blazer body to this one because me and my son just like that style so much

It does look great! It does fit the chassis very well. I did get a sneak peak on Instagram and SBG earlier today!

I've had my eye on this body for awhile now, and after seeing it on this chassis, I think I will be getting one for my VP Chassis Kit.

It's going to look great outside on the trail! Can't wait to see pics!

It is very nice body. Only thing I didn't like was lexan dash and too small screws Ok I know that they sell interior kit to this one and it is very nice looking kit. Just doesn't work with SCX10 style transmission.

It seems that RC4WD Blazer would look good also (with Scalemonkey bed extension):

And same thing with Axial Blazer:

It's not so easy to decide. What do you think guys?

First test drive is now finally done. Very impressive truck! My 10-year old son was driving this one and there was no way I could follow him with my Baja Chevy

I could say that this is quite aggressive looking truck:

And one pic with Baja:
