The wifes JK

Picked up a used 10.2 with some ssd diamond 44's, ssd shock hoops. Going to ditch the chanquish wheels and rockbeast. Picked up some ssd challenger beadlocks with some pro-line trxus tires. Also picked up the ssd trai king transmission. It was a perfect fit in the 10.2. Mated a slate motor to it already. Also picked up an injora jk body. She wants it to resemble the 1:1 jk I wouldn't let her buy. Purple. Lol. This will of course get some of my metal fab. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...541620c67c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...2f2dd69bd3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b750aec04c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...944984aa53.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...99a0b19597.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...109e20c96a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7f1eaf7101.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dc57731480.jpg

The Trxus tires looks to be a good match size wise.

They are going to be perfect. They are the same height of the rockbeast that came with my 10.2 bit a bit narrower. I think they fit the build better. I had them on a 1:1 years ago and loved them.

Got a little work done today before work. Built a cantilever rear suspension. Still have some work to do on it. Built a rear hinge for the body and built a servo mount. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...75a7318f72.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...52936294ca.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...3832286cd3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...189d1cf981.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c6fee84f57.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...1dd6813224.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...920123e100.jpg

Got the front the body mounted today. Not sure how I will like it. I seen this idea on fb the other day and stole it. Cabinet door clips. Who would of thought. It holds the body better than magnets ever though of. If I jerk up on the body fast it comes undone but just picking it up easily it's fine. I'm sure if it flips end over end it's done for but imagine the entire body would be at that point. Tell me what ya all think. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d1aeeab2e6.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...fcc409ad7c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...dea013f87c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...95262d42f5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a37ad9256f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4e6061b247.jpg

Got some work done on the wifes jk today. Seats came and got the offset differential on the front. Also some scale goodies came in the mail from the rc guru shack. Using them to help hide the floor where I made clearance for the battery. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...da8908ebd3.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e00e1581bd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...9ca5f34f73.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...b9920385bd.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a701318794.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...55b951afc5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7f1d2ef884.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...efd0f4c895.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7f73b0cf2d.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...97e52f7a96.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...50022094ab.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...6c4a2a85ab.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a71304a04f.jpg

Picked up some DOM tubing and got the cage started one the wifes build. I think that windshield section is and was the hardest part. Should be smoother sailing from here on out. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...5383c16bef.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...a06c450076.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...35b88e6098.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...25c8e1111f.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...7d6941d184.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...4285041010.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f20e5ef723.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...d873690b33.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...c8313a413c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...e1abfcc808.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...f12e080769.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...67c7836089.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...72a85828c9.jpg

I like the cabinet latches, great idea. Do you think 1 mounted horizontal would be enough to keep the front down...asking for a friend.

It may. I noticed that on mine if I jerk up on the body really fast they let go. I put a cross bar in to try and keep the jaws from opening and creating more tension. It seemed to help. This body is heavy already and then with the added metal work we will see how well the latches hold up.

Very nice build. My wife also wants a JK and I got her a 2 door Chevy tracker with a top that comes off like a jeep and lifted it and now I got her a trx4 and am putting a jeep body on it which is all slot cheaper than an overpriced JK. Lol
The tube work is awesome, what size is it and were can it be bought. Thanks for any info.

Thanks!"thumbsup"

I have the same bender and I am having problems kinking the tubing on tight bends. I'll have to try your method to keep it from kinking.

Great job on the cage work! It looks great!"thumbsup"

I bought a pack of insulation rods from menards. Lowes or home depot probably sells them too. But they are cheap and come in 18 inch lengths. You can cut them with wire snips and can also braze or weld them because they are steel.
