This is pretty close to what was in that vid. BTW, I’m not affiliated with Salinas in any way, lol. I’m ready to order this chassis as soon as I get a bonus check I’m waiting on. It’s gonna be sweet!

Another Topher build that slipped past me!

Loads of forward-thinking parts in this one, very nice...

I agree on swapping for a Power Wagon body - it's the most adaptable shell out there, IMHO.

I don’t but if you find the one you’re looking for please share.

Thanks Durok! A PWag is almost certainly in the future, if not till the end of the summer.

The metal plates on the front shock tower... is that something that comes with the TGH motor mount?

Thanks for posting this up, I’m in the process of doing a similar build and waiting on the TGH Creeper 2Low transmission to come back in stock or find a used one. I had a question about the TGH skid plate. I’m using the TGH DSM with 1.5mm spacers to put me at 70mm spacing in the front. Using a Salinas Designs flat bed in the rear also at 70mm. Is the TGH skid also at 70mm width? I read somewhere it’s around 87mm in width but wouldn’t that make the center section of the frame rails where the skid mounts be bowed out to fit the skid and place stress on the frame rails? What width is the skid you currently have? This is my first time using the G Speed chassis and may be over thinking it. Thanks for any help you can provide.

I don’t have the exact measurements but the skid is wider, this is intentional as having the rails flex creates chassis rigidity.

Top down visual attached. The chassis braces and servo mount are 67mm

The skid is 78mm same as the Gspeed skid plate. I emailed Gabriel last night and he confirmed this for me. The frame is designed to be bowed slightly to add rigidity. Most front spacers and mounts are 67-68mm so the frames will come inward 4-5mm on each side. There seems to be a lot of latitude on how to build your frame up. I'm planning a Gspeed V3 build myself so I've been doing a tonne of research. So far I've folks build 78mm front to back, I've seen 78mm at skid and 67mm front and back (Most common set-up I have found), and a I've also seen a few people do 67mm at the front, then 78mm from the skid all the way back.

For me, I'm leaning toward the TGH skid but I'll shave about 2mm each side on the band saw then use SCX10.2 (67-68mm) spacing front and rear.

Awesome this clarifies this totally. I got the V3 chassis in carbon fiber so its good to know the added flex shouldn’t hurt anything and is a good thing for rigidity. Thanks so much for the help regarding this.

Could I trouble you to post some detailed pics of the dual servo mount and Panhard mount? Did you have to add any holes or was it a direct bolt up?

Bolts right up. This set up is relatively easy to work on, I’m a fan.

Pardon the dust.

Thanks bro, good info. How are the factory team shocks? I’m looking hard at the Dravtechs but associated has always made good stuff...

I'd say both are good options but If you want Dravtechs grab them soon because they're closing down but there's still stock out there.

Love them. No complaints at all. Wish I could get these as a 85mm or 80mm

Didn’t DLux buy Dravtech to keep the shock line alive?
