Default Deadbolt by Electroz... Not for very long...

This is my first RC in over 20 years and let's just say I'm a little addicted right now with all the isolation going on. I'm a jeeper and love crawling, so this is right up my alley at a much smaller price point, haha.

Parts I've ordered:
Axial front and rear aluminum link sets.
Metal Gear kit for the AX10 transmission.
Amazon 20kg Servo and a 35kg 7.4v servo.
Hobbywing Quicrun 1080.
Holmes Crawlmaster Sport 16t.
Surpass Hobby 16t 5-Slot motor.
LCG battery tray and Servo relocation.
Universal front axle shafts.
Aluminum steering knuckles.
Aluminum 90mm shocks (and a bottle of 30wt shock oil).
Axial Wrangler G6 body.

Picked up a Spektrum DX5 Rugged a few days ago as well.

I ordered the deadbolt on amazon thinking it'd do me. Then I started watching YouTube and reading Forums. If I had my time back I'd have built from scratch. The positive is, after I'm done upgrading it'll be pretty cheap to make a low end rig out of the leftovers, so I'm not that upset. Already have the body picked out!

First thing I did after those fresh out of the box pictures was remove that awful lightbar and then I installed the front aluminum link kit.

FedEx dropped off my AsiaTees order today and I got that all installed. I also stopped by the local hobbyshop and picked up 2 packs of Pro-Line G8 Hyrax pre-mounted on their Impulse beadlocks.

So I installed the tires and rims, aluminum knuckles, universal axle shafts, all the front end stainless pivot balls, and the 90mm aluminum Team Raffee shocks.

I ran into an issue with the shocks though. The springs are way too stiff for my rig. However, I was able to use the stock spring mounts and springs on the Team Raffee shocks and it all worked out in the end. Super pleased with them right now.

Just ordered a VS4-10 Chassis kit, aluminum ar44 housings and related parts to get this setup with a regular aluminum front axle and an rc4wd ar44 rear portal conversion (I've read the negatives, but it's going onto an aluminum housing so I'm hoping I don't have any of the issues. Need to trim the link mounts off the rear axle and flip it. Then install a boom racing link mount relocation kit so the wheels turn the same direction as the standard axle in front.

Wrangler G6 body is only a couple of days out as well.

This will leave me with just about everything to start a class 1 build with the Axial 67 C10 body.

My Wrangler G6 Body has arrived. I cut it out, painted it Gun Metal, and attached the cage and stickered it. Waiting on some rare earth magnets now so I can magnet mount it instead of posts/pins.

Forgot to mention I got an 8T/24T overdrive gear set from Amazon and installed that in the front axle as well. It's getting where I want it... key word being "getting"!

Incision 90mm Shocks installed. Got them locally for a good price off a guy selling some stuff off. They were brand new and never used.

Low CG battery tray installed. Had to trim it to fit as it's designed for the Cherokee Kit transmission.

Front servo relocation bumper mount also installed. Had to trim the bumper a bit to get it fit as I wanted.

Last, but not least. My magnet body mounts are set up and glued with epoxy. I used the 2-spring adapters that came on the axial shock parts tree to surround the magnets and create a much firmer mount than just the magnets alone. The lip above the magnets prevents any lateral movement on the magnets so it'll only come off with upward/pull pressure.

Aluminum rear link kit, check!
Hobbywing Quicrun 1080 ESC, check!
Incision 90mm shocks rebuilt with green slime, check!

So happy with this build so far! Waiting for the Tactic servo to die so I can upgrade it to the 35kg Coreless one I have. The CG is crazy low on this with the battery tray and servo mount. The aluminum links added just the right amount of weight to the rear end too. Super stable and flexy now!

My magnet mounting system is working great. Body stays on for all but the most violent rolls. I can lift the whole thing with it!

New motor showed up today so I got that installed! Holmes Hobbies Crawlmaster Sport 540 16T! What a difference between it and the Axial 35T. So much more control and torque!

Built my rear aluminum AR44 today. Removed the link mounts and installed the BoomRacing axle flip link mount kit. Just needs a shot of paint.

Should get my Fast Eddy bearing kit soon so I can get it setup with an RC4WD rear portal add-on.
