Pro-Line KM3 in predator compound. I love them now that I have good foams. I am running lil nova comp cut soft in 4.75.

Here is my current v3 trying on the new shoes for my upcoming Gspeed v3 build... knock off OMF’s, tech factory rings, KLR X4’s w/ matching Halo foams.

I rebuilt my old Gspeed based class 3 as a class 2 truck. Straight front axle, portal rear axle. Still tweaking things but its mostly ready to rock.

Supercool alternative body choice, and I like the way you handled modifying the shell to slam it low...

And the brushed metal rocker and rear end finishing panels are the perfect touch!

(and I see some nifty interior details, too)

Thanks! I like these Tamiya F350 bodies, this is the third one I've done now.

It's geared toward performance, light weight, and low cg but I'm trying to get some better scale details in there! There's a couple that you can't see in the pics like the fuel cell mounted below the bed with the top plate poking through a cutout, and it has an exhaust coming out the back with the turndown barely poking out below the bumper. I was trying for 5 pounds even, ended up at 5.2 lbs.

Wow Gary that came out fantastic! Sounds like it will be a solid performer too. Very nice build.

Thanks guys. Lou, yours is looking pretty good too man.

I'm starting testing and tuning now so I grabbed a few more pics before it gets completely rock rashed. I have to say I like these polished wheels on it.

Thank you! What chassis brace are you running in the rear?

Lou, 3d printed, my design. The x brace is recessed on the bottom to clear the upper links at full compression. I try to be careful about using printed parts that are structural in nature, but I've been using this design on other chassis as well with no issues so far.

Excellent rebuild Gary!

So sleek and clean! I like the way you cut the rear quarter panel! Nice interior too!

Thanks Brian! Lots of planning went into it, I hope it performs as well as I think it will in competition.

Well it’s been 3 weeks since I officially finished this build, but today was the maiden run. I could not be happier, all the parts came together perfectly and it shows. Such a fun truck to drive, very happy with the trenchers, suspension is buttery smooth and the 1800kv revolver has just the right power. Now it just needs the silent esc lol
I’ll be putting together a video, probably tomorrow. But for now, here’s some pics

Love the colors! How are you liking the trenchers?

Thanks Lou, for the couple hours I ran yesterday.. They were great. I run on a lot of real slick rock and these walked up some pretty steep slick surfaces. I didn’t have time to swap to the flat irons to get a side by side comparison but the size is perfect and I think I’ll run these for a while

If anyone wants to watch, here’s the link. May want to turn the volume down, the phone amplifies the revolver quite a bit. Some lines I made with ease, until I tried to film.. haha isn’t that how it always goes?
Can’t wait to go run this rig again and get started on the v1c1 build.

Nice vid Fricker!

Yeah, the Revolver was singing! I really like how the Trenchers look on there. Looked like they performed well. I run similar types of slick rocks, so I may pickup a set to try out.

Hey thanks man!
Yea I’m contemplating swapping it for my micro x and slate combo. I like the power but it is a little coggy at real low throttle.
Definitely happy with the tires, g8 works great for me out here and they’re slightly smaller than the flat irons and I’m good with that too

Nice! I run the G8 compound in all of my Pro-Line tires and it does great on the terrain that I run on. I haven't tried the Predator compound, but have heard that they are super soft and like to fold over on sidehilling. That is one of the reasons why I haven't tried them. I do like a slightly smaller tire, so the Trenchers sound like they would work out great on my rigs.

I haven't tried the Micro X yet, but love my Mamba X and Slate combos! With a little power curve set, I can get them to creep really slow without the cogging.
