| Re: Holmes Hobbies TGH Sherpas Only My eBay axles finally arrived so I was able get mine as a roller. Stole the wheels/tires from my TRX4 and some spare shocks for mock-up. Are you guys all still running 90mm shocks? I saw that Topher is running 80mm in the rear but has a portal. I bought 3 sets of Dravtechs in different lengths and haven’t decided which lengths to use. I chose the color of the 80mm for this build, but can always order more later. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Question, what bumper options fit this? Not many seem to display how wide they are at the mounts, can anyone confirm a nice stinger bumper that's a direct fit? Or does anyone have an STL file I can get printed? |

It depends on if you have the chassis pinched with 67mm spacers or 70mm spacers. I run IERC bumpers and they’re set for 70mm spacers but include shims Incase you’re running a tighter pinch Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you have a link to that specific bumper please Mike or maybe the part number? I have ordered 67mm spacers, some nice carbon fibre ones, because why not lol. But I guess if I absolutely needed to I could run 70mm. Are their any pros/cons or is it just personal preference? EDIT; Funnily enough, my spacers literally just arrived, this is technically the first parts of the build Last edited by Oh How Original; 03-12-2022 at 05:36 AM. |

So more questions, forgive my noobism, what batteries are you guys running? I have very limited options in the UK unless I want to pay crazy money (like $60 for an 850mah 3s, no thanks!) But I've found some with good reviews at 1000mah, 93g (bit less when I cut the battery wires down a bit) and seems quite compact. Running a Micro X 2040kv Snubnose combo 60t spur, 11t pinion to start with, would I be realistic in thinking 30 minutes or so run time? Not going to be running any lights or anything else. It's crazy but you pay less for a quality 2200 3s than you do for a 850-1300 over here. |

I believe this is it. https://swaseys.com/collections/wert...20722238062651 But, per the linked thread below, it appears Werty may no longer be making parts. Sad. Has Wertymade Called it a Day? Last edited by Sniper4370; 03-12-2022 at 12:31 PM.

I use some 650mah 4S batteries and get 30-45 minutes out of them typically

Yep that’s it, Werty Made is gone as far as I know. There was a major beef between him and scale Fab if I remember correctly. Hang up and Drive

Thanks for the replies, I ended up going with 1300mah 3s Gens Ace Soaring, the size "should" fit and the weight isn't too bad. If I feel it's an issue they do a 1000 version a bit smaller. Very limited options in the UK, really wanted the 850 CNHL Ministar, but no UK stock I could find. Also ordered some MIP hex drivers for the build, felt like treating myself. Can't wait now. Still not decided on tyres yet, might just 'borrow' the Hyrax' off my SCX10 and put something else on that, not sure, what you guys running, for mostly rocks? |

I've tested out Proline Krawlers in predator compound and JConcepts Landmines, I preferred the Landmines. The Krawlers spun a ton and needed a lot of wheelspeed, though the foams weren't ideal when I first tested. I just swapped in stiffer (larger 4.75" vs the old 4.25") foams because I think the lugs were rolling over too much with the old foams. But the Krawlers still spin a lot before they will hook up so I've stuck to the landmines.

Someone recommended the Ruptures, believe they're made by the same place as Landmines, but the brand evades me! However, he split the tyres really quickly, which isn't confidence inspiring. Not really a fan of the looks either. |

We need to start a scale’ish comp build section for these builds. The cheater rig is definitely cool but belongs somewhere other than the scale section. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Has anyone tried to do 3 link, with the vanquish offset differential capra axle? not the 10.3 width axle.

I'm about to swap my Capra axles out from under my Sherpa for a set of the 10.3 straight axles, and set it up for a three link. I don't think it'll be too difficult with the exception of possibly swapping the FMM and Xfer case over to help the driveline. Obviously you'll need a DSM or G-LD servo mount.
