| updated Honcho
Hello again everyone. I have been out of the hobby for awhile, I just kind of lost interest. I have recently renewed my interest and started building again. I don't have a lot of funds at the moment so a lot of this will be done as cheap as possible and reusing lots of old stuff. this started as a OG honcho kit. I built it and ran it for years through several rebuilds. I decided I wanted to update it to newer axles so I bought a used scx10 ii. it needed new links so I cobbled some together with some cheap stuff that was given to me and from my old link pile. I am excited to get this thing finished and on the rocks. pictures starting with the last rebuild of my old honcho, to how that body is now, and then to my current progress on the new one. as you see the old honcho body has been beat pretty relentlessly. lol the bed is the first original prototype bed by DHfab, before he sold it to RC4WD. I have had that thing forever. the front bumper is just a tf2 front bumper and the sliders I made my self. I always paint the outsides of my bodies, so this is how I do the insides. should look good coming from underneath. |

Thanks man. I am hoping to be able to put some more time in this weekend. nice, did I get it from you? I bought it from someone on here but I don't remember who. I love it though, and I now have everything I need to get it going. I just have to install electronics and wire it up. | |

I had a chance to work on the honcho a little this weekend. I got the inside colors painted and backed with black. the outside is going to be a flat kinda mustard color. I got the bumper, bed and sliders painted with crinkle black engine paint. I used the old exhaust from the last honcho and the old bed plywood for now. ill update that when I can get to the hobby store. I would really like to get a plastic grill for this body. but funds for rc cars are low at the moment. |

Thanks MaX-D, that was just the inside color. I have been laying down the outside colors for the last several mornings. I just did the final coat this morning. now I will let it cure for a day or so. then on to detailing the body. |

Can't wait to see more! I've always love the SCX10 honcho. I myself am a budget builder. I reuse and re-purpose whenever and wherever I can! |

Thanks guys. This is probably the worst paint job I have ever done. It has been a long time since I painted a project though, and this was definitely rushed and I forgot some of the ways I used to do it. Oh well. I have some detailing to do on the body, body lines in black and door handles and trim. Also I’m going to order a plastic grill and the rear window trim. I can’t wait to get on the rocks. It’s been a long time. |
