Default SCX10 2 Build!

I am starting an SCX10 2 build with a raw builder's kit (of which I am saving to buy), which is what this thread is about. I have figured out the components I will put in, most of which I already have. However, I am trying to find an in-expensive wheel for me to use. What are some reliable wheels that won't bend or break and are not too hard on the wallet?

SSD beadlocks are fairly cheap and are tough. All brands for tire mont on them pretty easy too.

Do you want metal beadlocks?

If so, Injora sells on Amazon and eBay - Steelies for about $30 a set of 4, aluminum starting at just over that to about $40 a set, many, many styles.

Good quality, plenty of people on this site run them.

Just search for Injora 1.9 beadlock!

Will do, metal is what I am looking for. Hearing what you have said, and having seen some things about injoras gear, I will probably go and give them a try. Thanks!

Default SCX10 2 Build!

I personally like the SSD 8 Hole Beadlocks. They bite the bead really good and look good as well. They’ll rust like a real wheel(steel), so if you don’t want that then don’t get them lol. About a month after use, mine have some pretty cool looking rust on them. Be careful with the hardware though, I have broke two wheel hubs by the screw breaking off in them. Probably just my heavy handed ness though lmao. There also pretty reasonable priced at ~$50 a set.

I’m not a fan of most Amazon beadlocks just because I don’t like the look/style of most.

I think I found the wheels I am looking for - I found some INJORAS that will look good with what I am planning (a Jeep Cherokee body with older-looking wheels.)

Also, I am a complete newbie when it comes to the forums - how do I insert pictures from my pc? (so I can show the wheels)

Type in Postimage on google and upload from there. Then you can copy/paste the link into here. That’s how I do it when my Tapatalk monthly picture limit runs out lol.

Hey all, sorry that I have not really made any progress on this build. Due to the cost of just getting something that will even run is around 300 dollars, I have decided to come back to this at a later time, when my budget allows. I am going to start a thread on a more budget-friendly build on my old Axial Deadbolt, in the 2.2 section, since it already can run and I actually have a body for it as well.
