| topher builds a V1C1 Gspeed
Next project is in full swing. This one is a portal axle V1C1 (starting with portals at least). Will be running a Jeep hard body on here. Not many progress pics for this one but here’s the skinny on the build so far: Gspeed V1C1 chassis rails TGH FMM Shock Hoops for V1C1 Vader monkey skid (flipped) TGH FMM (mirrored) TGH Creeper T Case (internals flipped) TNT Kustoms Links 12.3” wb eBay driveshafts RTR Enduro Takeoff Shocks SCX10III Portal Axles Vitavon AR45P axle housings SSD Brass Knuckles SSD Brass Portal Covers (front only) Vitavon brass diff cover in rear HH snubnose revolver SW4 defanned and outer case removed (hoping this fits) NSDRC RS800V2 (on the way) A few Items of note from this build experience. I’m real happy with the links from Tom at TNT Kustoms. Had a bit of a lead time as is expected but worth the wait. They’ve been spot on. Guessing I’ll need to space the panhard down a tad once the servo is mounted but not expecting any real issues there. Since I’m running AR45Ps with the FMM, both the FMM and the transfer case needed to be mirrored due to the offset axle, for the Tgh cases miring them is pretty easy as you essentially just flip the internals around 180 in the case. Motor mount is similarly easy but needs new holes drilled in the mounting brackets. Tgh’s mirrored skid comes with a jig to help with this. When flipping the skid it puts the countersunk holes on too so hopefully you have a way to countersink them at home, I have not yet but am hoping to figure out how to get it done before the first run. If I had used the tgh 15% or 0% t case there is a mirrored skid available but I’m using the creeper for 30% od and it sits a little bit lower in the chassis for max interior clearance. Side note, the hexes in these pictures will be swapped to a stock size hex. Still have to figure out mounting the body, where the battery will go, and bumpers but this one is getting closer little by little. |

Thanks fellas! I appreciate the comments and the interest. I finished assembling the body this weekend, figured out that the boneless sidewinder 4 still wouldn’t fit so going to have to put a micro x in there. Servo shipped yesterday. Down to mounting the body, battery, and finding a bumper. Getting closer bit by bit. |

It's coming along great TB! A ton of great items going into this build! Can't wait to see the finished body and see how the V1 performs out on the rocks! |

Not too much progres here but I found a space for the battery (across the top of the rear rails) and made room under the body to fit the esc and receiver. Still need to fab up something use for the magnet mounting. Hopefully figure that out in the next couple weeks. |

Topher...what body is that (ie. who makes it)? And, did it come with the "angry eyes" grill...or, was that ordered separately (and from whom)? ~ More peace, love, and kindness would make the world a much better place |

The body looks sooo good sitting on top of the V1-C1 rails! I really like the looks of this body and like that it comes with rollbars. May have to pick on of these up. |

Hey TB, what size rear shocks are those? I’m working on fitting a body on mine and would love to not cut the bed out. ** Edit, I just remembered you’re running 12.3” so I’m going to need to get creative for my 11.3” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Fricker08; 07-16-2021 at 08:23 PM. |

Anyhow, a little bit of progress. Been working on a body mounting system for this. Drawing some simple stuff up in fusion. This will use the rare earth bar magnets. Also swapped shocks out to 80mm rear incision and 90mm front incision. | ||

Nice build, i have this same body on trx4 frame with rear 10.2 shock hoops. Works well. But overall weight is like 10.5 pounds to get things balanced. But rides scale. Looking forward to seeing what you do with this.
