First (non kit) build - GSpeed v1/c1

After lurking around, figured this would be a great place to document my build and struggles as I go along. Feel free to comment tips/tricks etc!

Gspeed v1/c1
TGH FMM
Ar45 axles
Intheworks Titanium links
Creeper-T transfer case
The rest is yet to be decided…

Welcome to RCC!"thumbsup"

Looks like a great start to great build!

I'm in the process of building a similar V1-C1.

I'll be following along to see how it all comes together!:)

What's the finish on the rails? Looks waaay better than raw aluminum.

I painted the rails with Rustoleum hammered finish spray paint to add a little design.

2 Attachment(s)
Slow progress waiting for parts.

Dravtech 90mm with spacers
FMM
Creeper-T
V1/C1 toyota hardbody sliders
Holmes Hobbies SHV500V3 servo

In the works titanium links installed but they are too long (currently 12.5 wheel base). Flipped the Vader skinny monkey to mount the transmission. I think the links are for the other style vader skid that appears to mount the links closer together, or at least more than the skid I have.

My AR45p V3 rig is the most capable rig I've got. The HH servo is amazing also!

Good looking rig, that hammered paint looks slick! Nice list of parts also, should be a pretty solid truck when you’re done. I’ve got a v1c1 brewing so it’s nice to see some of these come together

They had a decent batch not that long ago, I kick myself now for not pulling the trigger. Just gotta get lucky, unfortunately a lot of these companies post when their parts are going live on social media so some of us have no clue

Thank you, it came out pretty good and gives me ideas for future metal chassis builds. May even try and paint a carbon chassis but not 100% I want to cover the carbon fiber look.

Re: First (non kit) build - GSpeed v1/c1

Had some issues with my wheelbase being too long. Turns out I ordered links built based on the scx10 Vader skid. I originally had a flipped Vader monkey skid that pushes the links out a little farther. Got the scx10 skid installed and now we are sitting pretty. Another learning lesson.

I made the same mistake on my V1-C1! Once I installed the correct skid, all was good!:)

Finally got the wheels mounted to check width (9”) and get ready to start mounting the body. This is probably the most stressful part for me.

Also figured out the steering and Panhard to get full suspension travel with minimal bump steer. Slow and steady has been the theme for this .

Next up getting the esc and winch set.

Re: First (non kit) build - GSpeed v1/c1

Coming together great!

Something you may want to look at, is one thing I noticed on mine when installing the servo (also using the lay down mount) the servo arm if not the correct size will end up hitting the chassis before it reached full throw when turning left. I am only saying this cause your servo arm looks pretty long. I had one with similar mounting points and I just cut the horn down to the last hole I need and then it fit no problem.
