| Fricker08 builds an Rc Speedy
Project $2K22
I’m a little premature.. but man I’m super excited about this thing. I’ve wanted one of these since the first time I saw one. Well I’ve made some room on the shelf and in my wallet so I figured what the hell. Rc Speedy fab C2 setup for a vs4-10 pro/ultra I ordered the chassis yesterday and there’s a 5-6 week lead time. I went with stainless tubing over the titanium rod strictly due to the cost. I will drive it but like my other rigs it won’t get beat. I can’t wait to get this thing in my hands and show it off. I’ve started gathering some pieces and I may have a trick or 2 up my sleeve pending the chassis allows it. Stay tuned! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Well since the chassis showed up, I figured I’d go over the build list. It will be sitting on vanquish D44 clear axles with some cerakoted vanquish bully’s finished off with Scale hardware wrapped in Proline Km3’s and PL dual stage foams. Vfd twin transmission powered by a mamba x and 2850kv slate motor. Holmes hobbies shv800 for steering and some low profile servos for transmission shifting duties. Proline pro scaler 90mm shocks, may get swapped out later. Last edited by Fricker08; 01-20-2022 at 12:44 PM. |

The quality of this thing is impressive.. so far all the fit n finish has been great. I’ve got the transmission mocked up, axles installed seats and panel mounted, receiver box fuel cell and bump stops mounted. Next I’ll be working on the sway bar and getting the transmission mounted for good before working on getting the servos setup. Last edited by Fricker08; 01-20-2022 at 12:51 PM. |

Thanks B-MOW, I can’t wait to get this thing. I’ve got quite the parts list compiling for it and it should be a pretty fun build altogether. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

That is some beautiful cage work. Is it designed to fit a particular set of panels or will you be making them to fit?

Thanks guys! Bama, this is my first set of cerakoted wheels and these are a little more intricate of a design so there is some flaws but overall they should look killer mounted up. Smog, it comes with a set of aluminum panels. You can get the optional 3D printed panels which look better imo but they’re expensive.. mainly because they come with a stainless backing plate. But I will likely try to make some panels myself and try to save the aluminum ones. For the base price you get the cage, panels, suspension links which the rear lowers are trailing arms, welded servo mount and removable grille. So all in all not bad, it’s when you start adding in all the options when the price goes up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Fricker08; 01-24-2022 at 03:18 PM. |

All I can say is wow! This thing looks killer.. I can’t wait to get the build started. Hopefully I’ll have a rolling chassis this week. Then once this one’s done I’ll start in the 2nd one… wait what!? Well speedy said they’re discontinuing this chassis and had 2 available so I couldn’t help but buy another. The vs4-10 pro I stole.. figuratively speaking.. should make a great donor for that one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Fricker08; 01-24-2022 at 03:19 PM. |
