Default Brazinscalerc.com Hilo vs. G speed v3

Thinking about a new lcg chassis, considering the g speed or the new hi low. I'm leaning towards the hi low, I'll want to order the Vader skid from the g speed site. Will be running a 3 gear and Capra axles. https://www.brazinscalerc.com/prochassis/hilow

They're kind of different animals. The hilow is a cheater rig chassis, so if you don't plan to comp, and you're good with servo on axle, then that'd be the way to go.
(I have a gspeed, and my hilow shipped this morning!)

Don't plan to comp and servo on axle. What skid are you planning on using?

I've got a spare VFD, so I'm gonna try that. It'll be interesting with the 10*+ angle on the skid, making the front of the vfd point into the ground. I think if I shorten the front links, a straight axle will protect it from acting like a plough.

If that fails, I have a Vader monkey skid.

Have you checked out the CCW Reaper chassis? It seems like the best of both worlds. Pricey, though.

Just nickname for a truck that resembles a comp scaler, but doesn't abide by any of the comp rules about body height, bumpers, etc...

Here's a pretty extreme one with a reaper chassis. It has a crazy angle on the skid, like the Brazin HiLow.

The Hilo chassis is work of art. Might have to build one

Got mine yesterday. The owner (Wesley) included a fossil he found while crawling in Texas. Petrified dog shit for sure...

Man, At first glance I thought maybe it came with a massive bud

The dude clearly has a sense of humour

That chassis is wild. It would be awesome to see these builds guys. Please post them up

I agree the new HILO chassis design is looking very good. I’ve been running their (ALT) All Time Low chassis with modded TRX axles for two years. Its been a very solid performer. It has amazing break over capabilities when its fully stretched out but then settles right back down to the business at hand. I really enjoy driving it.

I managed to get a carbon fiber chassis while the where available. Also ordered a Vader skid, 3d printed sliders and battery tray from g speed. We'll see how it works together.

I had 2 gspeed chassis, and upgraded them both to HiLow's. And now I have a 3rd HiLow on the way.
The lengths of the driveshafts and links can be tricky, because the skid is so far forward. I'm extremely happy with them though. I built my first 2 before hardcore or intheworks had link kits available though, so...
If you have any questions about them, I'd be glad to help!
And no fossils for me, apparently because Brett always packs my orders... :(

Why can't hi-low be used in c3 comp?
