That's amazing! I can't imagine how hard it was to cut that with a dremel...

So turns out I have no idea how to measure. The Bronco is actually about an 11.5" wheelbase and the Enduro set for 11.8" is too long and doesn't look quite right. I replaced the rod ends with Vanquish just out on the axle end to bring it in a bit and it's perfect! Perfect, other than that nasty rear shock angle. Enter the SOR RACING Hybrid Towers! Billet aluminum, carbon plates and lots of options. I used the carbon plates on the rear towers to fix the shock angle as well as move the shock mount up. This system also spaces the shocks out 4mm which is perfect for stability as well as gaining clearance on my spring cups since they were hitting the old shock mount. Now for the fronts! Keeping the mounting position at the same angle, but these also move the upper mount out 4mm and stand the shock up a bit more. Not sure which I'll like more, but they sent me two sets so I'm gonna use em! |

| Re: 2021 Bronco Hardbody - WildTrak Samsquanch Thanks! It actually wasn't that bad at all, I used a sanding drum on the big round area after drilling it as big as my step bit would go, then used a carbide rotary bit to rough in the slotted section and finished it off with a file to get it as straight as possible. The recess that was in the body before was a great guide! The second light only took me about 10 minutes since I knew where to remove material and how much.

Looking really good. I really need to build one of these hard bodies as well to match my 1:1 Bronco Wildtrak.

This looks to be coming together nicely. I’m interested to see how that interior turns out.

Them headlights look sooo good and fit perfectly! Would have never known they were made to fit! Nice looking SOR shock towers. It's great they offer the CF plates with them. I may have to give them a try. |

Stoked how well they did fit! Quote:
Yeah Jay and Travis set out to make them work for most setups and offer lots of adjustment. I'd say they nailed it.

Holy smokes, where did the last month go?!? So much traveling, getting the COVID, missing another week. Feels good to be back on the Bronco though, I need to get this thing to paint ASAP! I got some awesome foglights from CCHand, made specifically for the TRX bumper. They fit perfectly and look awesome! Now to tackle those tail lights and lit spare tire carrier. |

Finally got some time to get the tail light recesses cut away and the tails mocked up and also got the Club5 tire carrier installed. Going to draw up and print out some sort of bracket to hold the tire carrier and lights in. |

Working on the windows and interior and it's all coming together slowly. Lots and lots of trimming and fitting going on and I still have no idea how I'm going to mount the dash, but I'm sure I'll figure something out! Windows are from TAN Woodworks, interior is from a VS4-10 and the dash we modelled and printed here. Could use some tweaks, but I am going to make it work and move on with this one. Just about ready to start painting! |

Taillights look great! Great job on the dash! Looks like the VP interior fits this body well! |

Alrighty, I wasn't going to post til the body was finished but I can't help myself. I painted over the weekend and am pretty dang happy with the results. I used the real Ford Cactus Grey and it came out exactly as I was expecting. The hard top I sprayed with Rust-Oleum textured black and the finish on it is perfect. The graphics are custom made from SOR Graphics, I sent Jay some ideas and let him work his magic and they came out perfect! Just a few small details to paint up and I can start assembling this body for the last time. This was a quick sand-prime-sand and spray job and no it isn't perfect, but I hate painting and this is as good as she's gonna get! Plus, I plan on putting some custom Rocky Mountain pinstriping on it over time. |

Love the color and the whole build. Ive been wanting to do a more scale type build like this with a hard body for some time but I'm intimidated by how to mount such a heavy body so clean. Are you using some sort of magnet or hinge system?

Thanks man! Right now the rockers on the body fit into the slots on the chassis mounted rockers. I still haven't figured that part out, I could put some screws in the rockers and call it good, which is tempting at this stage.
