| 1.9 or 2.2 on this tuber?
Got a tuber from AIPOHAKU and was REALLY wanting to build up a 1.9 for scale comps. I put the 1.9s under it and even though they are a bit small they look pretty good. Any opinions? I put some 2.2 swamp dawgs under it and they looked huge. The rear axle would have to hang way off the back to not have a really goofy wheel base. I am planning on stripping the paint, taking off the link/shock mounts and redoing those. If you think some bars need moved/chopped/rebent which ones do you think? Something about the cab looks a bit big on my opinion..... I'm going to cut my own lexan panels most likely for body panels. |

those look great, you need a set of stock cars with corys 1.9 rock rings from the scale shop. then youre all set in the wheel and tire combo. i think the cab looks fine too, no need to cut it up.

it looks good for the most part but the belly of the chassis looks big with the 1.9's. I'd run though.

I mocked it up with some swamp dawgs on wheely king rims and it looked good. I'm really thinking those new 2.2 mud slingers would look really nice on it. The 1.9 do look nice but I think the 2.2 are a bit better looking. Here is a picture of when CrawlnSlow was building it. |

I say 2.2 Mudslingers when they hit. The 1.9's just look itty bitty.

I think the 1.9 wheels look great but the Mud Slingers are way too small. My vote would be for a narrowed and reduced Moab on the 1.9's. The reduced tire ends up being about 4 3/8" tall and should look really good.

nick grizzly's got a good point i got those chopped down claw dawgs and think i will try the moabs next if you wanna try them. the 1.9's look awsome but you need more sidewall. mashers would be awsome.

I agree with you guys %100 about the 1.9 being the correct rim size. I have just never got the urge to chop up nice new tires and definitely am not paying for someone to do a set. Sloppy, I'll see how yours turn out and maybe I'll just let you do a set for me!

you do alot cleaner work then me. i am sure you can do it. i dont know about practicing on pede or wheely king tires I tried and they are so hard to cut plus no lines to use. the claw dawgs were a cake walk. |

I like how it sits on the 1.9s. it would look even better if the tranny mount was about 20mm higher. I say stick with the 1.9s or get some lowish plrofile 2.2s like geolanders. Tupers |
