| Bruiser/TLT Silverado - Less Swamp-More Stomp! -
Figured I better post this or I won't do a build thread. Now I'm obligated This is my first scale rig. After the comp yesterday I had drool all over myself so I figured I better get busy. Specs: Bruiser Frame TLT axles Front leaf Rear linked GT2 Transfer Case GD600 1.9 Cut and Shut M2Ks Modified Silverado Body Custom this, fabbed that This is going to be a 21st Century version of this old Revell Kit: It would be easy to do a clod body, but I wanted to take it up a notch and try something with a longer wheelbase and minus the step side bed. If ANYONE has more pictures or owns this Revell kit - CONTACT ME!!! In progress pics ASAP. Last edited by FreqEsKinz; 09-12-2007 at 06:40 PM. Reason: Title change |

| ?? I won't be hacking anything on this build. Just some minor mods to the Silverado body (The Earnhardt one). As I said, for now, I am getting my feet wet by using that model (which i built years ago) as inspiration.... |

And so we begin. Here's the pile of juicy goodness..... First, needed to get a lay of the land. Jigged the frame. Hallelujah... its straight! Next we started on the steel crossmember/transfer mount. 1/8" rod, 1/16th plate. At this point I should mention that the goal was/is to make everything bolt to the stock Bruiser frame. No mods. No cuts. No welds. Thanks to the Death Metal Garage for fab work! God bless ye old Tig. Mostly completed mount. Bolted in place. Looks to be solid. Nothing else major yet. Motor/Servo Mount is in progress. I WOULD however like opinions on tire size. Let me know what you guys think. Option A: Cut & Shut M2Ks Option B: Highlift Tires on Hummer Wheels (Highlift wheels shown) Also big thanks to Matt (muddauber7) for pushing me on this and for fab work and design ideas. More soon. Thanks for looking! |

if youre gonna be boggin this bitch you need slingers. if youre gonna use the M2Ks you need to turn em the right way. Last edited by obijuan; 07-16-2007 at 08:08 PM. |

I like it! I'll be doing a similar build soon. It'll be for my daughter. She wants one with 2.2 Moabs but I'm going to try and talk here into 1.9s. She wants that exact body, so I'm glad to see someone building one up...now I know that they really are good looking. Looks like a great start.
