Land rover Defender UPDATE 1 Hey guys, well this is my second attempt at a scaler. My first did not really turn out that good but i have high hopes for this build. I am using a Diaz Dtrail 12 chassis with bruiser springs. HPI land rover shell with loads of scale accessories. Stealth transmission driving 1.9 moabs on stock car wheels. i plan on getting this complete this week so expect an update. If you have any suggestions or criticisms feel free to let me know. Now onto the pics: http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1548.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1551.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1553.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1556.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1557.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1560.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1565.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1561.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1566.jpg Body was painted by USAtorque55. He did a great job, if you ever need something painted you should definitely contact him. |
Wow no replies?? I think it looks great. The scale accesories are really nice. I even like the yellow lol. |
well some awesome parts to start with! i bet this one comes out nice! |
tbo i like it, the only thing is the body cos i think the lexan bodies dont really work but my stubornness not to use it is meaning i am having to get a kamtec shell, and adding the detail myself |
that thing looks darn gosh nice! the only thing is if you mount the forest wires on the outside of the light and actually on the wing tops it would look perfect! but i may be being picky  |
nice lookin ride you got goin. |
Update I got to work more on the body today. i cut some pieces of diamond plate for the hood, rear and side i first started with a big piece of plastruct double diamond plate http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1576.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1573.jpg then added paint and started cutting. here are a few pictures of the final product. http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1567.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1570.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1571.jpg http://i115.photobucket.com/albums/n...a/103_1572.jpg Tell me what you think! i do have to give credit to HILUX for the idea. |
