| Awww...ANOTHER HL?!
Bone stock for now. Futaba RX/TX, Duratrax ESC, stock motor. I used laquer for color, then shot it with clear coat. The black along the rockers is foof-can truck box liner that gives a nice textured semi-dull sheen. I also sprayed that in the bed. Pics: I know it's another damn High Lift, yeah yeah yeah.... "been there, done that," but I had to show it off. It's a starting point, because I doubt that it'll stay this way. |

Scratches are but one of the many things yet too follow. I don't do too well with the whole "shelf queen" mentality...ya know?

Let me shed a little light on the subject. The headlights run right out of the ESC and the tailights are on their own power sourch with a seperate switch...kinda like auxilary lights. Eventually, I'd like to add some more up on the rollbar out of the secondary power source, but I gotta build something more durable than the stock rollbar buckets. They'd take about 1 rollover then they'd be hosed, fo sho. There are 4 LED's in the headlight buckets. 2 3000 mcd's and 2 6000 mcd's. Two red 2000 mcd's in the back. |

A little High Lift action. The HL is running a locked rear diff, and an open front. It hung up a lot with the open front end and because it has the stock tires on it. Nonetheless, I had a blast. It was great to auger down into some dirt in 1st gear, grab 2nd and spin your way out with mad wheel speed. 3rd is pretty much useless in this kinda loose dirt unless you just bomb over it, but I think it's a pretty capable rig. You can't really tell, but the headlights are on. It was litterally buckin in the ruts in this pic. You can see the front diff opened up and unloaded on the right side. |
