I actually had to re-do the key dumbass me grabbed the column while the key was in the ignition and it cracked in half I already made a new one, and I think it looks better then the last one, I am working on the CB radio right now, and added a couple more details to the column as well Pictures soon

for detailing the parts, I usually use Testors enamel paints and I have a nice Imex brush or 2

Takes one to know one How is this for getting on it

Radio is done, I made it have a silver face plate with black buttons, I am not sure what I think of the silver :? but I did add glass over the display, apparently its 4:35pm

I then whipped up this cb radio, same model as the one in the clone, but has a new Mic and as always, set to channel 6

I started a lil bit more work on the column, I added the key release button, hazard switch, and turn signal lever which I also stole from the camaro.

I also made a new Key since I broke the other one I then made a new Toyota key chain and tried to make the key chain part nicer, so I soldered it together..still not the look I want but I cant figure what else I could use so that will have to work.

I hacked up more of the spare camaro dash and got my head light switch and cigarette lighter

I had came up stairs to get a drink and to look at my clone thread, and thats when I saw a picture Dean posted for me of his real hilux and realized the left side of the dash where the vents is, is also suppose to be sunk in like it is in the middle to late now, so Ill do that on the next one...live and learn right?

anyways, I started mocking up the parts and where they will be glued too, everything is coming along nicely...just takes a shit ton of time to make everything and paint it all.

well thats it for now, I need to locate my spare wild willy parts tree so I can get my GT Grant steering wheel detailed up, I also still need to add another coat of paint to the dash itself...which is a PIA because its so damn cold here

More to come

Thanks for looking
Mike

Looks great! What leaf springs are you using? They don't look like the flat hilux springs.

LMAO you said shrek... we all each others Shreks here at work...code name for @$$hole . As far as how I do it, I usually end up having to re-do each part for example, yesterday when i was making the 1st Mic for the CB, I wanted to think it out, though I could hit it quick with the dremel...need less to say, I thought wrong, it shot out of hand and is somewhere in the basement...

I wonder what CD is in the radio...could it be one of Boy Bands favorites? Come on Mike, stop it...this is WAY over the top. I am a hater for sure. All I wanna see is this thing smashed over and over. Sorry.

Making the custom interior parts might just get easier with a little help from a friend here, I am going to see whats good

Not an employee, just a friend familiar with casting his own parts, although he is in the RC industry
