Another K5 Blazer! Ive lately seen a lot of Blazer builds here and finally decided to show mine. It has TLT axles, shocks (no springs) on a custom delrin/aluminum chassis. Im currently on the detailing/scale phase. The coolers are made of pill holders and look more real than a prvious one I recently showed. Im planning on a more detailed thread on this later in the week. For now Im using a Duratrax ESC. Preliminary tests have shown a great performance but Im still learning to drive this since the scale approach changes the perspective of things a lot. This are a few shots of it I rapidly took this evening. I will post more later. http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2525.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2526.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2529.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2530.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2533.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2535.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2537.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2539.jpg |
Looks good, except for the tlt crash gaurd you got on there. Kinda looks like a pig snout! Your frame looks pretty similar to the K2-xx series, except its a lot wider, looks cool though. Neat idea using the tmax arm as a tire holder, put a real bumper on there and its golden. Good job, Tom |
Thanks for the comments! I will try to detail that TLT crash guard with a winch and some other tings to see if I could make it look more scale. The reason for that position is to improve the approaching angle. Im still debating if I would add a bumber or not. The way it is now improves the climbing angle also. Im waiting on a scale kayak to complete the accesories. |
I'm sorry but that brush guard killed it, I say rip it off and don't look back. The rest of the truck looks damn good, but that brush guard |

i totally agree with that.it does look good other than that. maybe make a stinger on it or something. just my opinion.it is your rig. bash it man. |
it looks really good, and yea take that front bumper off also i seem to be the only one who noticed, you put the tail lights on backwards (backup light is facing the sides) |

not only the tail lights are wrong, but the side marker lights are in the wrong position. ;-) |
Thanks for the heads up guys! Ive fixed the errors you pointed out and got rid of the brush guard. I instead went for an aluminum bumper for a cleaner look. I also added more scale accessories in the back. What you say...do i still suck azz?? LOL! http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2540.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2541.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2542.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2543.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2544.jpg http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a1...2/100_2545.jpg |
bumper looks much better! |
oh yeah alot better. like the bumper.needs a fairlead and winch now."thumbsup" |
Thanks! Instead of a winch...what other thing would look good here?? Im trying to be a bit different. Or i could leave it as it is...what you say? |
You could mount a hi-lift jack on the bumper?"thumbsup" |
