I have a TON of bronco pics (1:1) body off if you need them. Your frame looks really good so far and I like the fact that you are doing a radius arm up front (at least I assume thats the plan with the springs like they are...) Which 1/8 body are using? The HPI one?

The HPI one, it's actually scaled perfectly to the original 1/8.6 by rough measuring.

Yeah were doing real scale, radius arms with through frame bushings. Shocks same way.

Reversed shackle in the rear just like the 1:1.

Cool build

I'm helping him along with this build.

I'm thinking we"ll have to redo the axle stuff tomorrow it just looks silly all stacked up like it is. I'm thinking of something that may have never been tempted before, steel axle tubes. It's the only way we could get true bronco style axle radius mounts. That way we can delete the Blackfoot stub axles and go full width with two long axle shafts.

Anyone have some detailed front axle pictures? I'd like to see how everything mounts up.

More pics, just working on the shock mounts. They will need to be clean up a bit before final welding.

Just wait to Griz sees this, he is gonna love this one. Nice work so far guys, it looks just like the real deal. Makes me miss my 73 EB a little bit, but I just picked up an xtrail and have a nicely painted EB shell with a mocrawler soft top for a future project

Surprised you didn't start with the front diff from a T/E-Maxx with what you are doing...

Maxx diff are to massive.
Finished most of the front axle, but we still need to finish rounding the axle brackets with the grinder.

Made the axle wider by using two long axle shaft, instead of one short one long. Thus, we also got rid of the Blackfoot stub shaft wideners.

very creative work so far, but i really think that 1.9s are gonna be too small under a bronco.

Yeah these tires are only temporary. Were waiting on the taller RC4wd 1.9 rock stompers. To scale that tire should equal a 36" tire. The ones that are on there now are 27's
