ok a few updates, its coming along slowly.

finally got the rear shocks mounted up. was also able to incorporate the rear body mount in with it.

body sits on top of the derlin and gets screwed in from inside the body.

also got the battery mount plate and shift servo for the tranny. I also put the front derlin body mounts on top of the tranny mounts. again the body is screwed to the derlin from inside.

i have also lowered the suspension and the body approx 1" i think i am going to be running 1.9 tires instead of the 2.2's looks more scale. rock stompers on the way. we will see how they look before i decide to go 1.9 or 2.2

2.2 moabs

Also got the gas tank mounted which will be water proofed to hold my receiver.

and got the front crosss member ready for one of steffan's amazing working winches!!

she is getting close just need to finish up some body work and wiring and she will be ready!!

Looks killer on the 1.9's! Missed you yesterday over at AB....
While Dad was switching gears I managed to blow out my front driveshaft, pull a wheelie that tore the body right off my F-150, and seuize a spring on my motor..... Good times!
All in all we missed you... Heck you could have gone oput for groceries... someone else used that excuse to get there.. LOL!

If you decide to clean up the peeled paint, just brush the fenders with testors flat black. That way theres no taping. Looks good. BTW I made a soft top for my nylint a few years ago I just used shoebox cardboard, and a lot of masking tape and some paperclips fot reinforcements, then sprayed it with duplicolor spray bedliner (it comes in a can). You can get different textures depending how you spray it. It looks like soft top material. The whole soft top comes off like a hard top, one piece. I can send you a pic if you're interested to get an idea.

yeah i will have it this weekend!

The bumpers are next in line. i am going to do some sort of tube bumper all around the winch to protect it! i dont want it damaged! Also a tire carry/over tire rack in the rear.

well her first test run on the rocks went great. I was very happy with its capability and stability. Just dont like the belly clearance. I know its a scaler but it sure would be nice to have more ground clearance. I like the 3 speed too much to swap it out though. all in all i am very pleased with it.

next up are bumpers, tire carrier, and soft top.
