Default Project: Fusion-X (Update May 6th/07)

Well after seeing all the awesome tube chassis's out there I decided to build my own! I was really inspired by Bluetorch Fabworks fusion chassis, so I emailed Dan and asked permission to build a replica. I was also inspired by Badhoopty's Rockcock Hulkwerks chassis. After that I got to work. It is built out of 3/16's solid rod. This isn't a comp. rig so weight isn't an issue. What it is, is a full on abuse vehicle so strength is key. I want to use this as a tool to get some of my friends into crawling so I'm going to beat the hell out of it once its done.

Please give me some feedback sorry the pics aren't the greatest. This will probably be a slow build cause I work insane hours so time is hard to come by. LOL

Mike

Sweet! Good looking joints and symmetrical bends. I like the design also. Comp rig, basher, whatever it is.... Durability is always number 1! Can't win a comp if ya break...

Lookin' good so far.

I've gotten into the habit of tacking the parts together with the MIG before I braze. Keeps me from wasting alloy.

Outstanding work so far, looks very very nice. I probably say this on every tuber project I post in..............wish I could do stuff like that I can do just about anything with a chunk of aluminum, Delrin, steel, stainless or whatever. However when it comes to bending tubes to make something like......huh uh! Can't wait to see more progress.

Frkan thanx for the reply. I think I am getting some funky picture effect. Although the front is long compared to the back. Check out this pic!

As you can see once I put the wheel wells in it will start to look much more proportioned.
