have spent some more time on it. bought a SCX10 but the wheel bas was to short so this is what i came up with Shot with Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS at 2009-10-20 Shot with Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS at 2009-10-20 Shot with Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS at 2009-10-20 now it has right wheel base, I am running 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm in back. i know i posted in 1.9 that is what i started with but I kinda like it with 2.2 Shot with Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS at 2009-10-20 Shot with Canon PowerShot SD1200 IS at 2009-10-20 I have the body painted but need to work on the out side detail and decals and interior, lights, winch. until next update hopfully not a long wait. Looks good with the 2.2's IMO too. I think there is some kind of mudding tires that look just like your 1.1's. I think they are only 1.9 though. | |

Hey local boy! Nice simple JK. Those are some short 2.2 tires! They'd look better IMO if they were narrower. Or a taller 1.9 tire looks good on the JK body too. They seem to short and wide for the truck, at least as a copy of the 1:1. again, just my opinion. |

Nice work, I'm building a JK on the same frame as you. I was wondering what I was going to have to do to make the wheelbase match.

I'm going to have to move this thread to 2.2. Just so you know, 1.9" rims are just about equal to 17" wheels. |

hey Jokerrw I got a nice jk.... You used the long links set(313mm), then added 15mm spacers on the front and 20mm in back, ritht? but did you move shock hoops in both front and rear? I am going to build a jk same as yours. but I will going with RC4WD 2.2 Rok Lox tires and Dual Spring 110mm Scale Shocks. so, I may need to move the front axle more then yours if I do not move rear axle. otherwise, it will looks odd. Am I right???? Now, my idea is to only move the front axle and keep the rear axle in the same place, but I may need to make the lower and upper links about 5mm shorter in the rear part . In addition, I have to move the front axle forward about 1" or more in other to fit the tires in the fender flare. However, I have CMS kit now. If I want to use it, I think I need to make longer link between the servo and the steering knuckle, Do you have any idea about this part? Could you guys give me some suggestions thanks |
