It's a custom built transfer case that my friend Dennis made for me (it's good to be friends with a machinist) a driveline will go from the Axial transmission to the t-case so I can have a full interior.

Here are a couple more pics of the t-case (no gears installed yet). Very compact and simple.

This is going to be good Tim. You had me at EB.

I LOVE that blue one, it's big pimpin for sure. Gonna keep that pic for future reference. ;)
The red one will be a sweet trail rig though because of the shorter wheelbase and narrow width.

Just an FYI, in my calculations I found the Bronco body to be about the same as you. I used an average scale of 8.5 after measuring the width of the hood, the length of the front quarter panels, the length of the doors, and the frame width. I did find that the rear quarter panels were 8.1 scale and need to be shortened by .3" to be 8.5 scale. I left them since Guido's wb is 106" and pretended the quarter panels were stretched. Just wasn't sure if you caught that or cared.

Again, can't wait to see this one come together.

EDIT:
Found a thread on the blue EB buggy.

Hey Chris, I was hoping that you'd like this one. I'm trying to stay as far away from Guido as possible with this build, but that's kind of hard with all the great ideas you have. Just 2 weeks ago I read through the whole Guido build for the first time, and I appreciate it that much more now. You put alot of time and heart into that build. This truck isn't going to use the rear quarter panels, so that won't be an issue. I also didn't realize that your body panels were individual panels mounted with screws, I thought it was an entire one piece body. So I will be copying you on that one.
I didn't get a chance to do much the last couple of days, but I hope to get some work done tomorrow. I'm just trying to dig up a few hundred dollars to buy some more parts so I can keep working on it. I may have to sell the flatbed/towtruck so I can finish this one. Later, Tim.

I understand that you are trying to make this unique so do what you gotta do and don't worry about Guido. Any ideas that might be the same I'm sure you will put your own spin on and I am flattered just the same. I did put alot of heart into Guido, thanks for noticing that.

I hope you don't have to sell the towtruck, that is a classic build for sure. On the other hand I'd sure like to see this one come together.

Well, I've been spending every spare minute on this so I haven't been able to update for awhile.

I finally got both axles so I could work on the suspension. The shocks I found are Integy (yeah, I know) and will work for now. I get 1 1/2" shock travel with internal springs, now if they'll hold oil I'll be real happy...

Also did some more tube work, I'm just waiting on LED's so I can build the grill/headlight assembly.

The front 3-link is figured out.

Getting closer with the tranny/ t-case, just waiting for a few parts.

A shot from the top.

I love the stance of it.

I have the shocks temporarily zip tied to the frame to see if I have any clearance issues with the suspension linkage and shocks. Seems to be alright....

The rear flexed out, still have to do build a proper axle mount for the rear panhard bar and the top 3-link bar. That's todays project.

One more little update.
When I first was getting ideas for the truggy, I wasn't quite sure about the rear shock mounts on the Blue Bronco.
These:

Now the more I look at these pictures, the more I had to have them. I think it just adds a little sumthin' to it.
Here's what I came up with.

Now I just have to silver solder it all up.

Thanks guys.

Got the front shock mounts done.

Also taped some body panels on to see what it'll look like.

I like the stance, but I think it may be a little too low once another 2 or 3 lbs. are added.

Naked.

Quick update.
I've been looking for headlights for this thing for awhile. Found this at Wilco the other day, and really liked the size and look of the lense.

So off to the lathe we go.

Cutting the bucket off.

After a little time in the oven cleaner to remove the blue, and reassembled.

I'm also roughing out the grill.......sure wish I had a CNC plasma cutter.

Here it is with one headlight in.

oh yeah, I almost forgot. I spent about an hour today making some pieces on the lathe. Here they are, can you figure out what they are going to be?

Looking real good.Nice to see some progress.Unlike me.
I just happen to know someone with a waterjet. There's also a cnc plasma at the new shop but it spends more time broke down than running.
