Thanks guys!

Finished up the chassis today.

Had to clearance the 1/4" tubes for the shock bodies in the rear. Obviously don't want to leave it open so I made a couple filler pieces.

A little silver solder

A little clean up with the Dremel.

Took it down to my shop and sandblasted it once again. Shot it with a coat of silver paint but ran out. I'll stop by and get some more tomorrow. Thanks for looking!

Sweet rebuild! Makes my heart feel good to see you building this again.
Under 10 lbs with aluminum axles? You sir are a magician! lol
Why did you have to notch the tube for the rear shock?

Will you be driving The EB at Axialfest? If so I guess I will have to drive Guido. I ran him at the Halloween Scale Adventure and really enjoyed driving him more than the Jeep.

How do you think I feel? Super excited!

You forget, it's always had aluminum axles under it. Remember the green axles I ground the heck out of?

As far as the notch, the shock mounts on the axles are slightly different on the Currie axles. The shock body hit the frame when it articulated.

I will be running the EB at Axialfest this year, and I'll be pulling a matching Jeep trailer if everything goes right. It might even have a steering axle under it 👍🏻

I remember making all those parts so long ago. Wish I had the motivation still. Looking good, can't wait to see it back on the rocks.

Sounds like it might have to be a 2.2 year at Axialfest, I'll prep the 45.

These 1.9s are almost as big as the original 2.2s...
